Since it's not advised to feed dogs pepper, fat will do. I assume that they believe that the fat in this product is sufficient to aid absorption. I sometimes gives mine plain turmeric mixed with xylitol-free peanut butter. Seems to work. **Q: I received this supplement and was wondering if it is supposed to be yellow dust that stains your hands some?** A: There was some powdery residue, not more that I thought was overwhelming. Turmeric is probably what is staining your hands but that’s only a guess. **Q: Can tumeric be given with aspirin ?** A: Aspirin for dogs is sold here on Amazon. It is fully buffered with bicarbonate. My vet was fine with our dog getting the single dose (300 mg) daily. Having said that...mixing with Turmeric may present problems and yes should be discussed with with your vet. And aspirin is not recommend for long term usage in dogs, i.e. more than a few weeks to resolve an issue short term.
