This seems to be standard. I find that lancets sold by Kroger as 26 gauge HealthPro twist lancets have a tab on the base that lets them go about 2.5 mm into the cup of the lancing device, as opposed to the 4 mm of the supplied lancet. I found that the supplied lancets do not draw enough blood from our cat, while the HealthPro lancet draws an adequate sample in one try.
