**Q: How do I test logs if I don't know what type of wood the log is?**
A: If you are testing 'logs' for firewood, the differences in readings using the various settings are not so great that it would make a great deal of difference. I'd suggest that if you are testing wood grown in the UK, whatever variety it is, it would be ok to burn if you tried different settings and all showed readings under 20%

**Q: What setting for a fiberglass and aluminium motorhome please?**
A: BUILD but may not give a accurate reading on fibre glass. However it will show that it is.

**Q: Are the pins removable? Can you actually unscrew them and replace them?**
A: yes you can

**Q: Can this test for rot on a 4inch fence post?**
A: It measures moisture not density so I'd assume not.
