I bought this and a Sunwayfoto DDC-110L ($85), and I'm not sure whether I can justify the enormous price difference to keep the Sunwayfoto clamp. That one is nicer, period, but I'm not sure it's any more functional. This one clamped down tight on everything I tried except for the Desmond 80mm x 60mm plate, but that plate didn't fit into anything else either. You do need to use longer plates and keep part of the plate across the center of the clamp. If not, the clamp bar pivots out at the screw, which I'm sure puts a lot of stress on the screw. This is true of all long Arca clamps, though. My only hesitation with this is the lack of reputation and fact that I don't see how to take it apart easily to inspect the internal workings & materials. I trust Sunwayfoto to not let my equipment fall off the tripod or jib. I just don't know about this brand. Review: Sturdy and Well Made - I got this to mount to my tripod so I could have a better mounting system for my camera and this thing really delivered. The construction is so heavy duty. It has a lot of weight to it for its size so I'm not concerned that it's ever going to break. The length is nice so I can slide my camera forward or back a couple inches to get it just right. I also love how far out the tightening knob extends so that you get good clearance to be able to use it. Thus far the level bubble on the knob has been useless to me, but it certainly doesn't hurt or get in the way.
