And yes I was using it properly. not this sellers fault. its the makers of this brand. sorry. **Q: How well can you see small things such as cells? Can you see the processes going on and organelles and such?** A: This is just to reply to the answer that you need an electron microscope to see other organelles and that's not true at all. There are different staining techniques that let you see a lot more. Look it up! I Microscope is very light and seems to be made of a plastic type material. It came with a lot of accessories such as knife-blade for dissecting (caution with kids it is sharp), premade slides, some blank slides and cover slips. The microscope functions work fine for kids just playing around with it. It is smaller than expected. The slides almost seem like they are created with a photo of what they are on the slide (almost like what you would think you are looking at under microscope but printed on a transparent paper then added to slide). Perhaps the microscope I had as a teen was a higher quality and. Or China made. This just didn’t hold up to my expectations. It does seem clear when looking at things under microscope. The price was overpriced for what item was.
