It produces enough power to use a Sony A7s as a webcam, directly from the USB port of a macbook pro. Attached is a photo of a Sony A7s, Camlink 4k, and a RODE microphone, all connected and powered by a single USB port on a macbook (via an Anker usb 3 hub). As another reviewer noted, it does not provide enough power for the Sony A7s to take photos, but video is totally OK. Review: Worked Great For My A7S and A6000 - This kept my A7S running for several hours uninterrupted, which was all I asked of it. A note, though: the amperage this supplies to the camera body doesn't seem to be enough to activate the A7S's shutter, so taking pictures with the manual shutter on the A7S will basically turn the camera off when using this converter.
