Review: This tarp is a life saver - Just got back from a canoe trip today and felt compelled to write a review on this tarp. I had purchased the 10x13 and brought it along with the intentions of using it for shade. Well, it had called for some rain, and when it did, I quickly realized my tent rain fly leaked and we had a lot of expensive gear, along with our food in this particular tent. If it hadn't been for this tarp being large enough to be used as another rain fly, I could've lost a lot, between my power station, and CPAP machine alone, possibly my life if I had to sleep without either. We ended up getting a soaking rain for about 20 hours, and a thunderstorm, with 30mph wind gusts, that lasted 4. Not a single drop entered my tent, and it held all the abuse from the wind. This is hands down a beast of a tarp and most definitely worth everything they ask for it.

I used lightweight ropes, secured them using the multiple tie out loops. The prolific tie-outs made it easy to secure the tarp to various anchor spots around our patio. I used a combination of easy half-hitches, bowlines and trucker hitches. We were totally dry and everyone in attendance was really impressed by this product. It worked out perfectly and gave us the use of our lovely patio in the rain. I thought this product was a little expensive, and you can certainly find cheaper tarps, but this one is light-weight enough to take backpacking and use on the trail. I would definitely buy this again, & just might buy a second one!!
