I filled it with 180*F water and the seems held, but I'm worried they could bursting you put pressure on it... like you would if you laid on it. PVC is prone to soften and misshapen when heated. I'd feel safer with a rubber one or silicone one. It's flexible, but doesn't conform to your body completely. If you put it on the back of your neck, it has some rigidity and does not completely conform to the shape of your neck. Not really the best for a water bottle.
