Review: Great Pet Vacuum - I bought this to replace my old Windtunnel Pet vacuum and I am very pleased with it. I looked at several Bissell models and finally decided on this one. Other reviews say it's loud and heavy, it is actually much quieter than my old vacuum and much easier to push around. I don't know if it is lighter or just less suction than the old one, but it is much easier to push and I really like that. I wasn't sure about the swivel, but now that I've tried it, I think I like it. I like the wand and the on-board accessories (one reason I chose this model over a different one). The pet brush actually works like it is supposed to, unlike my old vacuum pet brush. The crevasse tool is kind of neat because it is two tools in one. The brush slides up and down on the tool so you don't have to switch from brush to crevasse. It was easy to assemble. Bissell is very good at labeling all parts (hose, dust bin, etc.) and how to remove and put them back together. I love that the dust bin comes apart so easily so you can clean the parts and filters. My old vacuum had more parts and was harder to assemble when I wanted to do a deep clean of the dust bin. I like the lift-off option because I have carpeted stairs (which I hate because it is impossible to vacuum them thoroughly ). The tools make cleaning the hard-to-get-to parts between the spindles much easier and being able to separate the bin from the foot to go up and down is very nice. The lift-off option is also good for reaching into tight spots where the whole vacuum won't go. I have 2 Shelties, so my house is full of dog hair. This vacuum seems to do a great job at getting the hair off of my carpet and my furniture. It works really well on my oriental area rugs in my hallway. It sucks up all the dog hair without sucking up the carpet (a problem I had with my old vacuum). I also like the compact and slim size of the vacuum. I was able to get it on sale, so I got a good deal for the price I paid. I would recommend it to pet people and people with allergies like me.
Review: A Super Long and Very Honest Review of this Vacuum, Including a Pros and Cons List - Important notes: I have not had this vacuum for long at all and have only used it a handful of times, so I cannot speak to its lasting power or it’s quality over time. I do not have any stairs, so I cannot attest to its stair cleaning ability. I am also a vacuum newbie, and don’t have a ton of vacuum experience to compare this to. However, I do have a deep love for vacuuming and will try as be as unbiased and honest as possible My review is five stars, when taking into account the price and promises of this vacuum. I’m sure there are vacuums that work a thousand times better than this, but for the price you are getting a quality vacuum. I wouldn’t say this vacuum is worth $500, but it is worth the <$200 I payed for it. Pros: - vacuum is easy to assemble and easy to take apart, with clearly labeled latches for all the features that can be detached and turned on/off - i find the whole thing very customizable and modular, but still easy to understand - the attachments are well designed, with the brush attaching to the tube attachment, and they store nicely on the main body - i wasn’t totally sold on the lift off feature, but i think it’s totally awesome after using it. i can get all sorts of new places - the lights on the front are incredibly bright and more useful than i thought they would be - the cleaning is super easy, and i appreciate that the filters can be reused and don’t create unnecessary waste/have to be ordered - it totally gets pet hair out of the carpet as promised - the tube is super flexible, and i love that you can use both the handle/wand as well as the tube on its own Things that are not pros or cons: - the vacuum steers pretty well, but can be a little unpredictable to control. there is definitely a learning curve - you have to reach inside the dirt chamber to clean part of the dirt chamber setup, which is probably standard, but is a little gross - vacuum is not super loud, but definitely noisy. pretty standard - attaching the lift off feature back to the base has a bit of a learning curve, more so than the other attachments - there is no lever to take the vacuum out of the upright position. i find this a bit stressful, as i feel like i’m going to break something. - I wouldn’t say the vacuum itself is absurdly heavy or unwieldy when used as a standard vacuum. it’s not as light as a stick vacuum, but i’ve certainly used heavier Cons: - the lift off feature is quite heavy. not great for people who are older or have mobility issues. i cannot imagine holding it while vacuuming blinds as is shown in the ads, and find myself usually setting it on a table/the ground - the reach of the lift off tube could definitely be longer - unlike other bissel vacuums, the cord does not wind back into the main body of the vacuum. i find it to be quite unwieldy, as it is very long. the extra reach is nice, but the cord is constantly in the way - i also find that the cord is hard to wrap, as it’s very thick and heavy - while the tank appears large, i find that it fills up quite quickly to the “full” line and needs to be emptied pretty often - the vacuum struggles to remove human hair from the carpet, and you will have to “scrub” the carpet with the brush attachment to get it out - the little brush attachment gets dirty really quickly, and you have to pull hair and lint off of it. also probably pretty standard, but it’s pretty icky. - the pet hair attachment can be a little difficult to use, especially when attached to the wand. and i don’t find myself using it over the normal brush attachment So that’s my review! Would I recommend this product? Absolutely, if you’re looking at mid range vacuums. It does what is promised, and as long as the cons don’t outweigh the pros, I would say go for it! I had a blast using this vacuum and will continue to have a blast using it until I can justify spending $500+ on a vacuum.

**Q: How is it picking up dog hair on hardwood floors?**
A: With brush on and set to low pile, it worked great on my hardwood floors. Still need to wet mop after though for the scrubbing and shining.

**Q: are filters washable? or do you have to replace? reviews state not washing them but also can't find replacements either video shows her rinsing them**
A: The upper is washable and lower (HEPA) tappable but eventually need to be replaced.  you can currently buy six filters (4+2 pack) for $18.00 on Amazon

**Q: How do you get the hose to suck up?**
A: On the handle there is a slide like button that says low carpet or plush carpet. Put it on low carpet and the hose will have good suction. I had to figure that out. I was thinking that it had horrible suction and was going to send it back.

**Q: Is this have auto rewind for the cord?**
A: No rewind cord on this model.

I bought this to replace my old Windtunnel Pet vacuum and I am very pleased with it. I looked at several Bissell models and finally decided on this one. Other reviews say it's loud and heavy, it is actually much quieter than my old vacuum and much easier to push around. I don't know if it is lighter or just less suction than the old one, but it is much easier to push and I really like that. I wasn't sure about the swivel, but now that I've tried it, I think I like it. I like the wand and the on-board accessories (one reason I chose this model over a different one). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Strong but heavy and cumbersome

The pros first - this vacuum is strong, and the HEPA filter has been amazing in reducing the amount of times I need to vacuum each week. We have a dog who sheds A LOT so it's inevitable, but I feel like the amount it picks up is amazing. The cons - this vacuum is HEAVY. I'm relatively strong but it is very bulky. Also - if you're looking for something that is going to maneuver well and get under beds and chairs, this is NOT it. It is terrible at being nimble and has almost no swivel ability. When I'm already tired from cleaning the house this vacuum only adds to my frustration. It's not a bad vacuum but it's also not the best. Would I buy it again? Probably not.
