It still erases and holds on well enough but it is a marginally worse experience, I doubt any normal person will notice. That said, I think that these pencils hold up to their claim, the lead is noticeably stronger in my limited testing. These are a great contender to the other brand (I'm sure you can guess who) and their price is strong compared to them as well.
