**Q: Are the stencils plastic or card stock?**
A: plastic, cheap and break easily

**Q: What kind of paint am I supposed to use with this? It’s like the most important thing and there’s no answer to it anywhere.**
A: I use acrylic DecoArt paints or CraftSmart paints in US.  Multi-surface paints in these brands work well on glass, stones, metal, and outside use.  Patio paints are good for outdoors also.  You use the type paints for what you are going to be painting on.  You want a creamy stirred up yogurt consistency that pours out of the bottle easily.  If too thin, the dots merge together into blobs, if too thick, you get rough sharp points in your dots, wrinkles, or suction holes.  Thin down paints with a pouring medium from most major art brands.

A: All ages

**Q: Has anyone used the items such as the templates to paint rocks? How did that work out for you? Thank you.**
A: I did not have any success. The stencils are difficult to lay flat on rocks. However, I have had fun painting mandalas on rocks. Enjoy ,Sandra

My wife loves this set. She’s does a lot of mandala art and has wanted a set of dotting tools for quite some time. She works with rocks, card stock, paper, fabric-you name it, mostly with acrylic or watercolor paints. She said the dotting tools are a great range of sizes and besides the obvious use of making perfect dots, they are great for filling in small areas where a brush might be more difficult to work with. She really loves the mandala templates that came with the set. There is a nice variety of patterns. The instruction book includes a description and size for each dotting tool and there are a few foam-tipped dotting tools included as well. The price was very reasonable for a set with this much included.
