Uses & Choosing The Right VOC Uses : The Armor AR350 is designed for use on poured concrete, stamped concrete, aggregate concrete, and concrete paver surfaces. It can be applied to unsealed surfaces, and surfaces previously sealed with a solvent-based acrylic. Do not apply this product to red clay brick, slate, flagstone, or other types of natural stone. If you are looking to seal red clay brick, slate, flagstone, or any other type of natural stone, consider the Armor WL550 or the Armor SX5000 WB. Choosing The Right VOC For Your State: VOC regulations for paint/sealers/coatings vary by state. Please use the following VOC guidelines to help choose the appropriate formulation for your project. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact a Foundation Armor technician. 700 VOC (MOST POPULAR) : The 700 VOC formulation can be used in every state except AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, IL, IN, MA, MD, ME, MI, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, UT, VA. 350 VOC : The 350 VOC formulation can be used in every state except CA, CO, NY, OH. 50 VOC : The 700 VOC and 350 VOC formulations are the most popular formulations. The 50 VOC formula is manufactured specifically for states with high VOC restrictions such as CA, CO, NY and OH. Please note that the above information is for informational purposes only, and based solely on information known to Foundation Armor at the time this page’s publication. VOC regulations can change, and can vary by county within each state. Please consult your federal, state, and local regulations to ensure you are using a VOC compliant product. 350 and 50 VOC formulations. ship HAZMAT and may require a direct signature depending on the seller and shipping method they choose. How To Apply Coverage : Porous Surfaces: Up to 175 FT2/gallon in one coat. Smooth Surfaces (once properly prepped): Up to 200-225 FT2/gallon in one coat. Coverage will vary depending on porosity, surface condition, application method, and the amount of material applied by the applicator. The above coverage rates are estimates and will vary. Two coats are suggested for even coverage and appearance. Please note, if it is your first time sealing pavers, or an overly porous surface, a third coat may be required. Application: The Armor AR350 can be applied with a 3/8-1/2” nap roller, or a solvent resistant commercial pump sprayer like the Foundation Armor Industrial Sprayer. For a consistent wet look and low gloss finish, apply two coats spaced 24 hours apart. Time Of Day: The Armor AR350 should only be applied in the early evening when air and surface temperatures are declining, and when the sun is no longer positioned over the surface. To avoid bubbling and hazing, do not apply in the morning or middle of the day. Surface Preparation: The Armor AR350 should be applied to a completely clean and dry surface. If the surface was cleaned with water or pressure washed prior to application, allow the surface to dry for at least 24 hours before sealing. While pressure washing the surface is typically sufficient, spot treatment may be necessary for deep or older stains. Uses : The Armor AR350 is designed specifically for use on unsealed concrete and concrete paver surfaces, as well as concrete and concrete pavers previously sealed with a solvent based acrylic. If the concrete is smooth or trowel finished, and doesn’t quickly and easily absorb water, other surface preparation may be required to open up the surface pores, such as acid etching or grinding. The Armor AR350 should not be used to seal clay brick, red Chicago pavers, flagstone, slate, or natural stone. If you are looking to seal clay brick, red Chicago pavers, flagstone, slate, or natural stone, consider instead of the Armor WL550 or the Armor SX5000 WB. Note About Sealing Pavers: Please note, while the Armor AR350 can be applied over paver joints, it is not designed as a bonding agent and will not harden or bond the loose sand in the paver joints. If applying with a roller, loose sand in the joints may cling to the roller and be redistributed across the pavers. For best results, apply first coat with a sprayer if you are applying to pavers with loose sand in the paver joints. When applying to porous pavers, gloss level may be reduced, and more material may be required to achieve desired finish. Do not apply to pavers that are installed over a concrete slab or concrete base. This will result in continuous issues with blushing and delamination. Note About Applying the 50 VOC Formula: If you are using the 50 VOC formula, please note that due to the low VOC formulation, the working time with the product is reduced significantly. You will need to work fast, and in small sections. It is also important to avoid over-rolling the product. You must keep the roller heavily saturated to prevent the material from setting up as you are rolling. If you don't keep the roller saturated, or if you over-roll, the material will start to set up and become tacky and stringy in texture. If the product is drying too fast and you need more working time, you can add up to 6 ounces of acetone per gallon of sealer and mix well. Adding Foundation Armor Non-Slip: For added surface traction, the Armor Non-Slip additive can be added. The ultra-fine, fine, and coarse Armor Non-Slip additives works best in the Armor AR350. Applying the Ultra-Fine: Slowly drill mix 3-6.5 ounces of non-slip additive per gallon of sealer, until completely blended, then apply. For Fine and Coarse: When applying the second coat, add the non-slip additive to the coating using a broadcast spreader, and back roll to encapsulate the non-slip additive. Adding Foundation Armor Color-Packs: Opaque and semi-transparent color packs are available from Foundation Armor and can be easily mixed into the product before applying. Clean-Up: Use Xylene or acetone. Dispose of containers in accordance with local and federal regulations. Product Removal: Dried, cured sealer may be removed with the Armor CR100, or by using a diamond grinding method, sandblasting method or similar mechanical action. What do I do if the sealer turns white or bubbles? If solvent-based acrylics are introduced to water, direct sun, or high heat during the curing process, white spots or bubbles can form. If this happens, simply roll over the areas in the early evening with Xylene, or the Armor Blush Repair, for 30-60 seconds until tacky and allow sealer to properly recure. Prior to use, refer to the updated Technical Data Sheet and Safety Data Sheet posted on the manufacturer's website. Review: Great product! - Shipped fast and was really well packaged for shippment! Application was super simple and easy with standard roller and a broom handle attached. Followed the directions exactly and had zero issues on colored concrete pavers. Previous owner had slacked on sealing before us so the first coat that I liberally rolled on got soaked in quickly. Pic attached is that 1st coat after 24hrs. Due to the overly dried out pavers, coverage was lower than described. I got about 1300sqft single coat which is inline of their estimates. The second coat does cover better so staying on top of reapplications every 2-4 years should be easier and more cost effective. It really does improve the look of the pavers although you will see alot more white stone spots after due to where the paver color has worn off over the years. But still better looking by far! I did test a secind coat in spots which was also zero issues but not as transforming. But when it rained a few days later it was noticeable how the water beaded better. I experiance none of the cloudy, white, or yellow issues that any of the neg reviews list. And this was done in South West Florida with a SW facing driveway! I did reapply polymetric sand to all the paver joints prior with some joints at the street and side walk being 1". The polymetric sand was preset with water mist 2 days prior and with sealer it became very hard which is perfect! I have already ordered a second 5 gallons to complete a second coat without any hesitation and would highly recomend!
Review: Great results - I had a new exposed aggregate patio poured this summer, and knew I wanted to seal it both for protection and the color that it brings out in the material. When dry, my patio appears grey with brown exposed pebbles...but when wet appears brown which is what I wanted. After days of research, I settled on this product. To make application easier, I bought a roller frame, 4 foot extension handle, a paint tray plus 2 disposable inserts, a couple of 3 inch paint brushes, and a 6 pack of 3/8 inch roller covers. After completing the project, the only thing I would change is to say that you will only need one roller cover for each application. I prepped the patio by sweeping it several times before the first application to remove dust and debris (new patio, so I did not see the need to power wash). My space is bounded on 3 sides by either house or iron fence, and I planned to work towards the open edge as I went. I found it easiest to cut in 3 of the bounded sides of the patio by hand with a paint brush. I then poured some of the 5 gallon can into the paint tray and went to work methodically working in from all the edges while making sure I did not apply any behind me. It went on quickly and easily, and I got any excess of the roller in the tray before applying so there would not be any pooling on the concrete. I worked my way to the open edge to finish things off. The takeaway from the first application was that sweeping the patio was not enough to clear all of the small debris. I ended up with a fair amount on the roller, and had to pick pieces of grass out of the sealer as I went. The whole first application took me less than an hour start to finish on a 225 square foot surface. I waited the required 24 hours for the second application. I knew I needed to get the invisible debris off the patio better this time, so I decided to use a leaf blower to work out towards all the edges. I repeated the application just as I had the prior day, starting with cutting in all the edges with the paint brush. I finished the second application in about 40 minutes, and found hardly any issues with debris on the roller or surface. The leaf blower was a success, and I recommend it wholeheartedly. The surface sheen looked uneven after the first application, but looked great after the second. I am extremely pleased with the result...a matte finish wet look. Water now beads on the surface when it rains, and the patio looks amazing. I will definitely be using this product in the future, but probably in smaller quantity. I used maybe half of a 5 gallon for the entire project.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: what is required for clean up? If I put this in a spayer what would I use to clean out the equipment?**
A: Goof Off solvent cleaner works well for wiping off tools. If you have a commercial grade coating pump sprayer, flush it with xylene and then pump air though the unit to dry out the hose. Leave the lid off to let residual solvent evaporate out. Check the manufacturers instructions to confirm clean up procedure.

**Q: How much time do you need to wait before applying 2nd coat?**
A: Apply it in the late afternoon or early evening when air and surface temperatures are declining. Space the coats out 24 hours.

**Q: Is this product with "satin wet look" a less glossy than the first eagle 'wet look". trying to get away from that. thanks**
A: Foundation Armor AR350 is a satin to medium gloss product. Denser/smoother concrete surfaces will be closer to a medium gloss, especially when you apply two coats.

**Q: I have paving stones about 1 1/2 inches apart, with gravel in the spaces. Will I be able to effectively put the sealant on without taking out the rock**
A: If your gravel is lower than the paver surface, you should be able to roll on the sealer without any interference. If a small amount of sealer makes contact with the gravel while rolling or sprayer, it should not be an issue. You should not have to remove any rock while sealing (just don't intentionally try to apply heavy coats of sealer to the gravel because the AR350 is not a bonding agent for stone).

I rarely write reviews but I had to make an exception for this product. Full disclaimer. We used it two years ago and as a couple who do a lot of home improvements ourselves we kinda decided we didn’t need the directions. That was our mistake and it didn’t go great. Fast forward to this year and we tried again. We followed the directions to a T. Our patio came out perfect! It actually looks better than when it was originally poured and sealed by the contractor! It’s been a week and we are still amazed that we actually did it and it came out so good. Follow the directions and you will be very happy. The pictures can’t do it justice because of how the sun is hitting it but believe me it looks great!
