**Q: can I use this for my homemade washing powder**
A: Dear Mr Abbot. In response to your question I would say that at first sight it may seem possible (assuming you have a wife who is adventurous enough to remove said paper label from the bar) but you should consider other issues that may arise from using the product in your suggested manner. Firstly, this soap is well known for the quantity of lather, or foam it produces. My own view is that you should act with caution here. Placed in a machine this soap could produce enough foam to cause you and your neighbours distress as you watch your machine, your house and the entire neighbourhood disappear under a mountain of bubbles. Secondly, in today's paranoid society, said bubble(s) will probably be considered by the anti terrorist authorities as some new form of ISIS activity. Such a view would not be unreasonably interpreted by our justice system as providing justification for deportation to the detention centre at Guantanomo Bay, Cuba. So to sum up I think you need to give this idea further consideration before trying it out in practice. An extended break in Cuba whilst having your privates electrocuted and enjoying a spot of waterboarding whilst learning Arabic at an advanced level might be just what you want from life. If not, I would stick to using the soap in the bathroom.

A: The picture literally shows special price packs of £1 for 3 and they are selling at £6.49 when it should be £3 for 9 bars. Got some balls

A: You get three packs each containing 3 bars of soap.  So you actually get 9 bars of soap for £6.03.  I think it is good value and excellent soap.

A: According to Lloyds Pharmacy it appears Imperial Leather Soap does contain talc

Great soap for shaving and washing alike. The only soap I like better for both would be Tabac, but that is a lot pricier. Pears is also nicer for washing, but it doesn't work for shaving. And again, not the same value as this stuff, a lot pricier.

First of all, I can’t see how anyone could view the listing as a scam or con – it says, right at the top, in great big capital letters, 9 x 100g SOAP BARS, 3 PACKS OF 3, then shows a picture of 3 packs of 3 soap bars. It’s one of the clearest, least-misleading listings on Amazon. One of life’s great little bargains. Smells good (sort of a blend of vanilla and frangipani) without being overpowering; lathers up nicely; leaves you feeling fresh and clean; long-lasting. If you’re a heavy user of a hand/ nail brush in the shower, you’ll get through a bar sooner; same as you will if you leave the bar lying in a puddle of water. But that’s true of all soaps. If you leave it out to dry for days between use, it’ll eventually start to crack, especially towards the end of its life. But that’s true of most bars of soap as well. And the scent is light, not whoosh in your face and up your nose. I’m a bloke - I just want to feel clean and fresh, not wander down the road wafting flowers over everyone else at six-and-a-half paces. Great value – 5 stars.
