A: The female socket gets brittle over time. In my case, the tab did busted but the male inserts fine. I used a drop of high temp silicone to glue the parts.

Took a chance because these claim they work for the 2.4L engine but they do indeed work for the 2.5L engine on a NA-built vehicle. A couple of the original ignition coil connectors were broken by a prior mechanic who zip-tied them on, which was bending and cutting into a wire. Just replace the plug, guys. I popped the original pins out of the original connector and put them in this connector, no soldering.
