## Description

The dwarves are still mining and the saboteurs are still lurking around. But now the dwarves are divided into two squabbling and competing groups. They are joined by enough new dwarves for up to 12 players. The boss tries to help both groups. The profiteer deals with everyone. The geologists hunt crystals rather than gold. This is an expansion and requires Saboteur to play.

Review: A must buy if you like the original - About eight of my friends at work play this game every day at lunch. We have about a dozen games to select from, but this has been our favorite. The expansion brings the challenge up several notches. While the original game is fun in unto itself, the expansion is a must. It is a more fun because it is not just dwarfs vs saboteurs, now most dwarfs have competing goals. There are blue dwarfs, green dwarfs, crystal hunters, bosses, profiteers, and saboteurs. It is now no longer obvious if a player is a saboteur or not, and even if they are, they might not be your biggest threat! It takes us about an hour to get through 3-4 rounds. The rules are a little confusing, but after a few rounds, you'll get a better understanding and will create house rules to tailor to your group. I would recommend playing the original game a few times first, to get used to the mechanics of the game. If you enjoy the stand alone game, you must get the expansion.

**Q: Is this a stand alone game or an expansion?**
A: It is an expansion, you will need a copy of the base Saboteur to play.

**Q: Is this the same as the additional cards included in saboteur the mother lode bonus pack?**
A: Answering your question: though unfamiliar with the game and the 'Bonus Pack'.  Back of the Saboteur 2 package says the contents are 32 Gold Nuggets, 30 Tunnel Cards, 21 Action Cards, 15 Personality Cards and complete instructions.  Front of package does state that this is an expansion pack - and you need Saboteur to play.

**Q: is in spanish too?**
A: no, the instructions are in english.

**Q: I have the older z-man version of the original saboteur. will this mayfair expansion work with that?**
A: Yeah they will both work. Just that the 2 saboteur has new ways to play and a different characters just to make it more interesting. You should be okay. Enjoy both version. Hope this helps

This fixes the imbalance of the base game, adds new characters and makes the game even more fun and hectic than the original, a must have if you like the base game. I only recommend to learn the base game first and play with it for a while before moving on to this expansion. It is a little more complex to learn (more rules) so it's easier to do it step by step.
