Review: First-Time User - ***UPDATE: 1-30-13 Well, I'm still going strong. It's been a little over a week and I must say, I'm still very pleased with the results delivered from this product. In fact, my work load coincidentally increased over the past few days AND I have been subjected to two different, very sick children (goop hanging out of noses, coughing all over me) and I DID NOT pick up any of their illnesses. Plus: I still have increased energy everyday. Amazing. I had a few time constraints in the mornings too and have had to take this product on the road. I just love the accessibility of it. I can't imagine not taking this Vitamin C ever again. I have increased my rating to Five Stars. Earned and well-deserved. Note: I would love to hear from those who have been ingesting this long-term as I have a few questions about use: should I be increasing the dosage over time and if yes, when should I start doing so and for how long? Should I be taking some form of Vitamin D with this to ensure optimum delivery/absorption? If I stop taking this, should it be a gradual process, like weening oneself off? I can't ever imagine wanting to stop taking this however I don't know if there are any side effects to being on this product long-term...and I read another post here about how someone got very sick after stopping their usage immediately. My rating may be premature but for now, it is based on ease, taste, and cost. I will update my review once I have some results (or lack thereof). Ease: Using this packet is a cinch. I like that I can take it on the go if necessary. Just cut off one edge of the packet and insert into mouth and swallow or into liquid and drink. Taste: Well, it's not so much the taste than the texture I think that puts people off. I took it by itself (tilted head back, squeezed orange-looking gooey contents to back of throat) and chased it with some water. A little got onto my tongue and the taste reminded me of a grain/wheat-like taste (one person said it was card-boardy tasting. I can see that...). On the plus side: atleast it doesn't take like raw vitamins or have a bad aftertaste. In fact, there isn't really much of an aftertaste. The texture is mucous-like, and to me anyway, put me off a little (only slightly grossed me out). The water helped. Use the cold juice if you need to but I can see how that process is more work (like mixing oil and water; don't bother if you can muster taking the packet alone). Cost: Some may say this is costly, especially if you're using more than one packet a day. I only took one today, in the morning, on an empty stomach, to see what results I get that are measurable. I may increase it to two packets (1 morning, 1 evening) if needed. Ultimately, you should decide what's worth your money (and time): Preventative Health Measures or Emergency Visits/Missed Work? Review: COVID-19 update - Great for people with compromised immunity - ======= Update April 2020 ======= Was it COVID-19? We may not know for over a year...but we think it probably was. It started on our wedding trip to Hawaii, my (now legal) husband had a sore neck so bad he couldn't turn his head and when he tried to drink our regular nightly wine, he vomited immediately each time for 3 days. This went on despite several envelopes of Lypo-spheric C throughout the day - that said, he credits it with being able to get him to the church on time. I'm so glad I brought a box with us! By the time we left Hawaii, he was feeling pretty normal again, but two days after our arrival back home, his neck moved into my lower back for no apparent reason. Neither of us ever had anything like a fever or chills - just these odd-ball pains out of nowhere and my husbands puking and a couple of other "that's never happened before" symptoms. Within a week or so of the onset of my back pain I woke up with a sore throat. I did what I always do, taking 3 envelopes per/day to kill the crud. It did not kill it. 3 days later my mother whom we live with woke up with a sore throat and, although my throat was no worse, it was still tickling and I started feeling 'tight' in my chest. I started my mother on the same amount of envelopes that weren't working for me along with some plain ascorbic acid. The next day, my husband woke up with a sore throat. ...of course you realize - this means war. By this time it was mid/late-March and I was very concerned. for my 87 year-old diabetic mother. I stumbled onto a protocol of mega-dosing A/D/aspirin and added it to our C regime. 50,000iu D3/k2 + 50,000iu A (not beta carotene) - that combination taken once and repeated after 12 hours if there are still symptoms (not to be done more than two days or if you are on immunosupressant meds, though I'm not sure why about the latter, just what I read). In addition we took 500 to 1,000mg ascorbic acid & a plain aspirin (do not substitute another nsaid) every hour that day. We also upped our envelopes to 4. The next day neither my mother or husband had any symptoms, and none of us had any issues with the protocol we had followed. Since I had been dragging on for days with it, I repeated the procedure for a second day just to be sure, and importantly, we all kept up the lypo-spheric C envelopes at 3/day for the next 3 days to make sure whatever it was didn't resurface. We can't be sure it was COVID-19, but we will never travel again without two boxes of envelopes with us. ======= Original Review ======= My husband hardly ever gets sick and powers through it when he is, but I get sick when someone just mentions that there's a crud going around and I can't manage to power through it, when I get hit, I get hit hard. I've been a believer in Vitamin C, but regular ascorbic acid supplements only worked for preventing illness if I took it every hour or two throughout the day AND there wasn't any excess physical or mental stress going on at the time. That's a cost effective approach, but only when it works. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Over two years of use Update...Amazing New Formulation of Vitamin C

Update March 2015: pretty much stopped buying this because I make my own much cheaper now. About ten cents a gram versus 1 dollar for these packets. It is a bigger hassle to make my own, but when I do I can take 5-10 grams a day for less than a dollar. I would buy this Amazon offering again if the price was cut to $10 a box of 30. If money is not a problem buy this professional version, but you really need to eat $5 worth a day to get the best benefit. Great stuff, homemade or Amazon stuff. End of 2015 update Great product...impossible to find in my fairly large city in any health food stores. The best way to take this vitamin is get a small 2-3 oz. cup of orange or grapefruit juice. Get a water glass as backup chaser, but for most non-squeamish users that is not necessary. It can have a minor globby taste, but to me it is not an unpleasant taste. It helps to stir it well (use the handle of a spoon down in the cup briskly for 10 seconds). Use scissors to cut the end off completely at the tabs and then multiple fold and squeeze it down like a toothpaste tube. As for my own experience of the benefits as opposed to cheaper oral vitamin C...I can only offer anecdotal evidence. After about 5 days of taking it at least twice a day (one day 3 packets) I feel a little different in a good way. No massive infusion of extra energy, but there is some indication of improved energy. My blood pressure seems lower (haven't monitored it, but I know when I am hypertensive). The bad thing is the dollars go pretty quickly with 2-3 people in a household taking it, but hey...what price do you put on improved health? I read today that blood travels a complete circuit in your body every 60 seconds. It is comforting to know I have this new blend of Vitamin C traveling around nonstop every day. [Update after 70 days of use]: I would swear my facial wrinkles are half what they used to be! I don't forget to take this vitamin very often...usually the first thing in the morning for my wife and I before we have our lovely home-brewed coffees (I buy country of origin coffees as my only vice. *;-) We also found grapefruit juice by far masks the slightly squishy texture and slightly funky smell better than any other juice. I really like grapefruit juice and my wife is not so big a fan, but she likes the liposomal vitamin in grapefruit juice better than other juices she prefers to drink alone. (Update after about 4-5 months of use). Facial wrinkles even more reduced. I don't forget to take this vitamin every day. It gives me more energy also. My wife has decided she likes it better in orange juice now so I buy some Brazilian blended with Mexican orange juice and she likes it better than my Rio Grande Valley grapefruit juice.
