I had to route out an additional 2 inches on both sides to allow them to adjust small enough. Now they go on without a problem. And my two kayaks xan sit side by side. This tjing grips like an ape. The ends are black, not red like in the photos. I decided not to exchange them and with a little crazy glue and Gorilla brand black tape, it's as good as new. I also used the tape to seal all openings and holes instead of using the included rubber slide inserts. These bars fit perfectly and look great on my 2014 4Runner SR5 Premium. Very easy to install. It seems like I do have to tighten the clamps every week or so, but no big deal. Top speed so far with these bars installed is around 75mph, and no whistle or air turbulence at all. I think taping every single opening helped out a lot. Even with the broken end cap, and inaccurate end cap color, I'm willing to give 5 stars. I can't imagine paying double, even triple the cost for more "high end" brands. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars So Far, So Good! *by J***G on Reviewed in the United States on January 13, 2016* One little part (one of the red end caps) was broken when I received this. But, I used some glue and stuck it back together and it seems fine for the long-haul. Aside from that, they look VERY cool on my Jeep and fit up there pretty easily too. I like the simplicity of the locks and the rugged look of these. Also, they seem pretty quiet so far, even up to 65mph. I can occasionally hear a little whistle if the wind gusts by in a weird direction, but really I'd hardly know I even have them. I plan to just leave them on, though I'll see if the mpg takes a big hit.
