Review: GREAT MICROPHONE A+ - It works, has good sound quality, with extra long cord. The video shows this BOYA in the first part compared to a wireless mic that just doesn't match BOYA sound quality. There are draw backs, like battery life - you have to add new batteries almost every use if you forget to turn off the microphone, and the battery port is in the middle of the cord so it weighs down the cord. Also, anything that rubs against or touches this battery port will create that HISS sound as if it were hitting the mic. That creates a difficulty or limitation when trying to move around while vlogging. I still give it a 5 Star because it is pretty clean sound for the price and performs well in all its claims. This BOYA is my standard microphone for vlogging to date. I have been using this microphone for over a year, since May 13, 2019.

Love the included bag to keep it all safe and together. Sadly I couldn’t make it function with my iPad Pro due to the odd limitations of the device, which is no reflection on the microphone itself, just an oversight on my part.

A: I used this for filming in the cockpit of a plane and it did a great job of picking up the pilots voices over the loud wind noise. I'd say this would work for you as well.

**Q: technologically, I'm really dumb.  I am looking for just a clip on mic for kids to do a christmas play at church.  Will these work for that?**

Very nice design and definitely seems user friendly. The clip is very sturdy, as is the rest of the product. Love the included bag to keep it all safe and together. This lav mic is pretty decent. My rode videomicro sounded much cleaer and didn't need any post editing. This has its uses though. Perfect for alot of situations. After post editing, audio quality was similar to the rode mic.
