Review: Improvement over F mount version - I was a longtime user of the F mount version of this lens (G version) for DSLR and adapted to Z mount. Finally decided to purchase this 14-24 2.8 S for my Z9. It's a wonderful lens... sharp... easy to use. A bit bulkier in size, although it might be lighter, than the original version. I'm glad for the addition of the filter ring (part of one of the two hoods). It takes longer to put the oversize cap on it compared to the F mount version because this one has to be lined up to a specific point. It seems odd, though it makes sense, to have two different lens caps and two different hoods for this. The filter size is massive for the front, larger hood. The lens also accepts smaller gel filters in the back, but few companies make ones for it... most have their own drop-in filter system that you have to remove part of the back of the lens to install. I'm not sure I want to do that, but it might be the more economical way to deal with ND filters on here for super long light traces or astrophotography work. You still need to use the front for a circular polarizer. I registered mine with Nikon and with NPS and it came with full USA warranty.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fun lens to use, internal zoom is nice and impressed with the results

I am a beginner in photography. This lens was defintely a splurge and totally exceeds my needs at this stage. With that, I loved shooting this lens. It's the first time I shot a wide angle lens. I looked at the 14-30 lens, which has received some outstanding accolades. The sole thing that sold me on going with this lens was the internal zoom. I was figuring the lens would feel heavy shooting hand held. The lens easy to point and shoot. The only consideration was the large lens hood takes up a fair amount of space in the backpack and can be a bit bulky to carry around for an extended period of time. since it requires a 112mm filter, the starting prices were a bit shocking. I did purchase the ND filters for the rear of the lens but haven't played with them yet. the picture attached was taken relatively close and uncropped. I am sure the upload doesn't do the picture and lens justice. Fun lens to use. Expensive and if the internal zoom isn't a consideration I would recommend the 14-30.
