Michaels and other craft stores offer the ticky tack sort of putty to temporarily adhere the wick to the bottom of the mold. This just hasn't worked well in the past. The wick comes loose, starts to float or isn't straight anymore and in the center of the candle as it dries. This kit solves that problem.Love how the metal stands at the end of the wick are already included. While not entirely necessary it makes the process of setting the wick MUCH easier...as does the adhesive stickers that are included and the wood wick centering tools. Yeah, it's just a popsicle stick with a hole in it, but it does the job.Wick works great, burns and melts the candle as expected and holds a descent flame. Overall, it arrived quickly and it was exactly what I expected.
