It all started when David was studying pre-med in college and noticed a number of students eating out of pouches during class. He asked what it was they were snacking on and was shocked when he learned it was baby food! They loved the portability of the pouches, the fact that they were made out of fruits and vegetables, and that they were portion controlled - BUT they didn't like the gritty texture, the dull flavors, and being embarassed for eating baby food in the middle of class! After telling Josh about this new trend, they both realized that there was a need for a super convenient snack that didn't sacrifice health, quality, or taste while appealing to both kids and adults. So they got to work in their grandparents' kitchen and crafted the recipe for Fruigees! Soon after, David and Josh started selling Fruigees at farmer's markets throughout Los Angeles.
