My first introduction to the 'original' Innisfree was in Ireland in the late 90's when I purchased it in a shop in Dublin.. This is nowhere near as nice as the original.. It has sat on my dresser for the past 7 years.. and never used but once. I guess it's time to trash it.. The original scent called Innisfree was much more sophisticated. When I inquired about it from this company, I was told that the formula had changed and that 'everyone' liked this better.. All I can say to that is ...yeah right.. If I could find anyone with a bottle of the original scent hanging around, I'd offer them $200 for it.. THAT'S how much better it is than this scent. I was sorely disappointed in the change. I still have the original bottle and there's a wee bit still there.. I put on a tiny spritz this morning before leaving for an appointment and it's 7:30 in the evening here in Houston Texas and after a whole day of in and out of the car, the heat, the stores, etc etc etc.. It's still softly alluring.. A lady in my doctor's office today asked me what it was.. She was disappointed when I told her that she could not buy it any longer though..Unless you actually have worn the original, I suppose you'll be happy with this lesser version since you don't know how great the original was.. This company is owned by a south Korean firm that opened in the year 2000...using the name Innisfree.. I'm not sure how they manage that.. It doesn't have a tang or tartness or over-heavy muskiness. Think beautifully scented baby powder! Also, what is with the cost of $999 for the 1.7 oz. size? I would never pay that much. Was that a typo, or is that really the price?
