## Description

Don't be fooled into thinking the Ibanez GSR micro is a toy. It’s made to the same high standards of the other GIO series guitars. The Gsrm20 features, small scale SR body, full sound pickups, the same construction, same materials, and same set-up and inspection as its full size counterparts. Its shorter 28. 6” scale makes it perfect for tour buses, space-restricted home studios, folks with smaller hands, as well as young rockers or beginners.

Review: Impressed by this little monster - I chose this bass because I am used to playing guitar and wanted something to do some home recording with, and didn't want anything too big or unwieldy, and I am shocked by how small and light it is. It's smaller than the PRS guitar I usually play, but still sounds great. Pickups are passive but that's fine with me as active pickups are just another thing that can fizzle out at the worst possible moment anyway. My only real complaint was how incredibly out of tune it was on arrival, but any new guitar is going to need tuning and the stock strings should probably be replaced ASAP anyway. Would be a great starter bass and I wouldn't hesitate to gig with this if I had to. It looks cool too.

**Q: Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between fret spacing on this ibanez mikro bass and the squire ss jaguar?**
A: The mikrobass has a 28.5" scale length, and I'm pretty sure the jaguar has a 30" scale length so the mikrobass will have frets a bit closer together. I've had mine for a good while now, and I gotta say,  I really enjoy the mikrobass!! It's light, small, zippy as can be, and has great tonal versatility for so inexpensive an instrument! Hope this helps!

**Q: does this come with the cable?**
A: No. You need your own.

**Q: where is it made?**
A: Mine was made in Indonesia. I've been told they are made for about $10-25 each. BUT mine is easy to play, has good sound, and doesn't feel cheap.

**Q: Right under "neck material type" "maple" it says number of strings 6. does it have 4 strings or 6?**
A: Mine was a 4-string bass, as it says in the heading.  Probably a cut-and-paste mistake in the details listed. Anyway, Amazon is good about returns--or just learn to play a 6-string bass ;)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Guitar Player's Perfect Guilty Pleasure Short Scale Bass!

Just my opinion, but this just might be the guitar player's perfect guilty pleasure short scale bass! With its remarkably short 28" scale, it's so comfortable, balanced, light & easy to play! Amazingly inexpensive. Flawless fit & finish (at least mine was right out of the box - and in a really gorgeous matte slightly textured weathered black finish w/all black hardware). Just one minor out of the box issue - slight buzzing, but only on the E string and only when fretting the E on the first fret. So, possibly the second fret needed/needs minor dressing - but that was more than I wanted to attempt, so instead I simply raised the E string a hair at the bridge and the buzz was instantly gone, with no effect on E string volume that I could detect. The pickups sound fine to me. A true little gem at a truly bargain price. (Note - the gig bag was not included - it was a separate purchase - but for the price what can you expect?!)
