From exclusive features to the highest level of performance, these babies will make even seasoned grillers blush.Weber's Original Gas Grilling SystemNotice how sturdy the shroud feels as it opens smoothly on its hinges? See how the burners roar to life on the very first try? Delighted by how simple it is to achieve a mouthwatering meal every time? It's no accident. Weber spends countless hours perfecting the grilling systems on its gas grills, assuring easy assembly, an evenly heated cooking surface, and precision controls so you can tone things down or up to the perfect heat level for direct or indirect cooking.Cookbox and ShroudThe cookbox houses the components of the cooking system: cooking grates, burner tubes, Favorizer Bars, and the grease management system.Made of cast aluminum, Weber's gas-grill cookboxes are durable, efficient, require minimal care and maintenance, and can withstand the heat needed to grill at any temperature. In addition, the shape of the cookbox, when combined with the shroud, allows for the proper circulation of heat around food for even cooking whether you're using direct or indirect heat.Cooking GratesWeber gas-grill cooking grates come in three exceptional materials: porcelain-enameled steel, stainless steel, and porcelain-enameled cast-iron. Each type retains heat evenly and sears food beautifully. Porcelain-enameled steel cooking grates are durable and easy to clean. Stainless steel rod cooking grates make lovely sear marks, hold heat very well, and clean up with ease. Porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates combine the ease of porcelain-enameled with the superior heat retention of cast-iron--no need to season and easy to clean.Burner TubesWeber's burners are made of high-grade stainless steel, which will stand up to the small amounts of water found in liquid propane and natural gas. The burner tubes are made of a singular piece of steel with no welds, making them stronger and more resistant to rust and burn-through. And while they are protected from grease drippings and food by the Flavorizer bars, Weber cart gas grill burner tubes can be cleaned easily by gently brushing with a Weber stainless-steel grill brush.Controls for each burner give you the ability to grill by the direct or indirect method. Even more, the burners are spaced to provide heat across the entire cooking grate, and the burner valves have infinite control settings, so you can fine-tune the heat levels. Flavorizer BarsThe innovative Flavorizer bar system, originally created by Weber, is designed perfectly to perform a variety of functions on the Spirit , Summit, and Summit gas grills. Angled just right, the Flavorizer bars catch drippings that smoke and sizzle, adding flavor to your food. Any drippings not vaporized by the Flavorizer bars follow the slope of their unique angle and are funneled away from the burner tubes, down into the grease management system. Not only does this help prevent flare-ups inside your grill, but it also protects the burner tubes from becoming clogged.Made of either porcelain enamel or stainless steel, Flavorizer bars are durable, long lasting, and easy to care for. Periodically brushing them clean with a Weber stainless-steel grill brush will help keep Flavorizer bars performing at their best. Grease ManagementWhen juices drip off the meat, they funnel down to the Flavorizer bars, and then what doesn't vaporize into wonderful smoke goes down into the grease management system. The grease management system consists of an angled grease tray and catch pan. The grease tray rests beneath the cookbox a safe distance from the burner tubes to prevent the grease from catching fire. Grease is channeled down the grease tray and into the catch pan. Both the grease tray and catch pan are easy to clean. The tray easily slides out of the cabinet for cleaning, and when the catch pan starts to fill, simply remove the disposable drip pan, toss it in the trash, and replace it with an empty pan.Fuel Gauge A fuel gauge lets you know exactly where you stand on fuel at all times.Sear Station Burner & Side Burner (Select Models)Maximize the heat without minimizing grilling space. This high-powered sear burner is designed to step up the heat on demand for searing. Even more, a flush-mounted side burner lets you multi-task while grilling.Summit S-620 Gas GrillAs part of the Summit S series, the S-620 gas grill has a front-mounted control panel with six stainless-steel burners and a Snap-Jet individual burner ignition system. The unit provides stainless-steel cooking grates, stainless-steel Flavorizer bars, a 60,800 BTU-per-hour input, and 838 square inches of total cooking space, which consists of 693 square inches of primary cooking space and a 145-square-inch warming rack. For added versatility, the grill supplies a 12,000-BTU side burner--great for sauces and marinades.Other highlights include an enclosed cart, a stainless-steel shroud with a built-in thermometer, two stainless-steel work areas, two Grill Out lights, six tool hooks, two heavy-duty front-locking casters, and two heavy-duty back swivel casters. Designed for use with natural gas or a 20-pound LP tank (sold separately), the gas grill measures 30 inches long by 74 inches wide by 57 inches high and carries a five-year limited warranty. A 10-foot flexible hose for natural-gas installation comes included.Note: Images shown above are of the Weber Summit S series and E series in Black; features illustrated vary by model. Great grill

*by M***A on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on August 2, 2015*

I got this grill a few months back and wanted to wait to review it. I wanted to see how it actual performed before rendering a verdict.First off, the Prime delivery was fantastic. A burly dude brought this 275-lb monstrosity into my back yard and set it down where we wanted to unpack it. Do not, under any circumstances pay to have this thing assembled for you. It took me less than 20 minutes by myself. I only needed a hand to lift it off the palette. After a few months of use, I can safely say it's a great grill, but it is not perfect. The good:1) The lid is heavy and keeps the heat in very well. Meat cooks evenly and quickly.2) The large, removable drip tray is easy to clean and maintain. It is also sturdy and stainless steel, which means I won't have to replace it every couple years as I did with my last grill that had a galvanized tray.3) The side burner is very good and has an even and consistent flame.4) The grates are heavy and fantastic. They are easy to clean and will likely last forever.5) The tank is very easy to hang and hook up.6) This grill lights very easily and heats up fast.7) The fit and finish is very good. It is a quality piece of equipment, for the most part. The bad:1) The casters on this grill are small and cheap. If you have an uneven backyard where you need to roll this thing around, you'll be constantly frustrated.2) The handle mounted lights that are supplied are garbage. They constantly pop open and are very chintzy.3) The lettering and symbols on the knobs is cheap and most of mine have worn off after only a few months.4) The doors are very light and no matter how well they are adjusted, they do not close properly or well on the first try.5) The last 5 or so inches left and right of the grilling area is useless. Nothing ever cooks evenly or well on the ends. It is unusable space.6) The "hooks" for utensils do not work with any of my utensils and every needs a rope or string to hang on the hooks. All in all, it is a mostly well made piece of equipment. Do I wish I got the next level of grill? No. Do I wish little things like the casters and lights were better? Yes.I use the thing a lot. I have gone through 4 tanks of gas in two months. It's holding up so far. I strongly recommend getting a cover and making sure you clean it to make it last.

It easily accommodates the Camp Chef SG100 Deluxe steel fry griddle ...

*by S***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on May 22, 2015*

Assembly was extremely easy(10 min taking my time). I have found that in order to obtain even heat you must preheat the grill. It heated to 750 degrees in 8 min. There is plenty of room. It easily accommodates the Camp Chef SG100 Deluxe steel fry griddle while leaving an area to open grill at the same time. We were able to simultaneously grill asparagus, corn in the husk, chicken breast and garlic toast with sufficient temperature control on all areas. Grilling oysters on the half shell was easy. The 9mm grates create good grill marks. The side burner would be much more user friendly if it was centered instead of so far back in the frame and if the cover was removable. It does not accommodate large pots and the cover will interfere when manipulating a skillet or wok. The cover to the side burner lacks support on the front edge and will flex and bend when a heavy pan is placed on it. It should have been engineered to be self supported. I had to attach supports in the burner control well to minimize future damage. I wish the warming grate was installed a couple of inches higher so you would be less restricted from attending to the back of the grill. It is difficult to flip items without hitting the bottom of the warming grate. I tend to leave it in storage until the end of the cooking process. The left side table is very large and easy holds large restaurant pans. The storage area has plenty of space to store accessories and is completely enclosed which helps to keep animals out of the grease pan. The stainless steel is easy to keep clean with Sprayway Stainless Steel Cleaner. So far, this grill has performed as it was advertised. I will update if there are any changes.

There was minimal assembly required which was easy enough to do - even for someone as handyman ...

*by B***A on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on August 15, 2014*

The invite list for our annual summer BBQ started to get out of hand (~70 people) when I realized that my old Weber just wouldn't be able to meet the demand as it has a limited cooking area which is further constrained by the fact that the left side no longer cooks as well as the right side despite having replaced the burners a few years ago. So I ordered the S-620 and the Amazon rep was kind enough to arrange for quick delivery at no extra cost (a $500 savings!).There was minimal assembly required which was easy enough to do - even for someone as handyman challenged as I.My old Weber required a while to heat up at a high setting. I set all six burners to high and walked away for a few minutes and the temperature reached 700 degrees in no time and felt like a blast furnace when I opened the hood. The lights on the handle are a nice touch. Many of my friends came over to view the new grill and expressed "grill envy." These are people who have lots of bigger toys than I have, but in this one area, I had something that they do not have. The grill cooks evenly and I had no trouble handling the hungry masses as I worked both the old and new grills simultaneously.I've used it a few times since with no issues. Haven't yet had the need to use the side burner but I'm sure it will prove to have no issues as well. I expect to have many years of great use out of it. I'm now inspired to purchase the rotisserie attachment as we all love rotisserie chicken. Buy it, you won't regret it.
