Afer reading the other reviews, I was expecting that to be really hard. Maybe it was all those years I spent doing puzzles when I was younger, or maybe not. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I just didn't find that part of the exercise difficult at all.What *was* a little tricky was the actual pasting the panel to the wall, and ironing out all the bumps part. I wouldn't have managed without my hubs helping me place the bottom of the panel while I placed the top, then holding the whole thing while I 'ironed' it out with a paint roller.When we were all done, I was horribly disappointed. The whole thing was full of bubbles that, no matter what I tried, simply would not come out. I was frustrated after all the hard work we'd put into it, and was going to rip it all down and throw it away before it dried on the wall, but hubs suggested we leave it for a while ..... GREAT advice! I came back to the room that evening, and the bumps and bubbles had all dissapeared when it dried.It looks wonderful in my bedroom, and I'm so happy with it. Well worth the money spent. ### ⭐⭐ and we were happy with the end effect *by J***Y on Reviewed in the United States on January 3, 2017* ** Follow-up update ~one month later: Do not try to hang this on a mirrored surface! It looked great for perhaps 1 day or 2, then the line horizontally between the upper and lower portion began to grow such that the mirror was more and more visible. Now, a month later, the panels are literally falling off the wall, and the gap between the images has grown to ~1/2 inch.Original post: My wife and I put this over our 3-panelled mirrored closet doors in our bedroom, and we were happy with the end effect. Like a prior reviewer, we had bubbles everywhere when we were done so were very disappointed, but when we let it dry overnight the bubbles were all gone (not so with the couple of wrinkles, so watch out for those).Also, the bag of wallpaper paste has no quantity written on it, so I mixed it all in with the 2 liters of water, since this is an 8 panel wall mural. The resulting paste was fine. Do avoid over applying the paste, as if it gets too wet it rips more easily if you're going to need to cut it.*Follow-up note after day 3: When applied to a mirrored surface, we found that the wallpaper dried such that the horizontal strip between the panels is WAY too apparent. Upon initial hanging, there was no mirror visible, yet after 3 days of drying, there was a rather wide (3mm?) line of mirror visible… Completely not ideal, and draws the eye constantly. There is nothing to be done for it, except perhaps to paint over this portion of mirror with colors that ~match that portion of the image. ### ⭐⭐ it didn't work for me *by L***Z on Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2009* I laid out the eight sections and was convinced that the mural I received was defective. The trees on the Right side as well as the dark tree in from the Left side are BLACK. The tree in from the Left side is actually on the second panel and it appears as a straight black stripe up the entire length of the mural. I contacted customer service and was asked to send a digital photo so they could see what I was talking about. Once the customer service representative saw the photos he called me back and said that was how it was supposed to look and maybe if I "stepped back a bit..." it would look more natural. Nope, still looked like a black stripe - not even like a burnt tree but a black stripe. Since I was planning to install the mural in a small massage room the option to "step back" wasn't feasible. I'm still convinced the mural I received was defective because I can't imagine why the lush green photo would have BLACK trees. It just didn't work for me.Here's another thought: The first thing you have to do with this mural is lay the eight sections out on the floor to put it in order - they aren't numbered and in spite of the fact that there are only eight sections, this is harder than you'd think. It would be so much easier if the sections were numbered... AND I may have 9' x 12' of blank wall space but finding 9' x 12' of flat floor space wasn't as easy so I tried taping them up with painter's tape to put them in order. That sort of worked but the paper is very fragile and I wrinkled it a bit and tore it slightly.
