They are incredibly soft and easy to work with. Colors are vibrant! While they are expensive, the cost is worth it if you use oil pastels regularly in your art. Review: Beautiful - I have the main 48 colors but if you’re looking for something with portrait or skin tones, I would suggest getting the portrait set. If you have both like me, there are some repeat colors. I absolutely love the packaging. It’s worth the money. The quality is beyond what you pay for, they are soft without being too soft. They are easy to blend and layer. You will end up with pigment all over your hands though. So be careful when touching your art. Having said that. I would recommend getting a cheaper set like the lightwish oil pastels so you don’t end up using your very expensive ones on your first layer of art. This is what I compare all other oil pastels to. I love these. ## Features - 48 original colors designed for best results - Creamy lipstick like pastels - Usable on wood - paper - canvas and metal - Used by Cézanne - Gauguin - Monet - Bonnard - Soutine - Picasso - Modigliani - - Best oil pastels on the market ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0010YV8DI | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | #74,591 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ( See Top 100 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ) #138 in Drawing Pastels | | Brand | SENNELIER | | Brand Name | SENNELIER | | Color | Multi | | Color Code | Not Available | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 272 Reviews | | Finish Type | Matte | | Global Trade Identification Number | 03046450409311 | | Included Components | Pastel Set | | Item Form | Liquid | | Item Type Name | Oil Pastel Set | | Item Volume | 1.3 fluid ounces | | Item Weight | 1.3 pounds | | Manufacturer | Sennelier | | Model Name | Cardboard | | Model Number | 10-132520-480 | | Paint Type | Oil | | Part Number | 10-132520-480 | | Size | 48 Count (Pack of 1) | | Special Feature | Lightweight | | Special Features | Lightweight | | Specific Uses For Product | Drawing | | Surface Recommendation | Fabric | | Unit Count | 48 Count | | Warranty Description | no | ## Product Details - **Brand:** SENNELIER - **Color:** Multi - **Finish Type:** Matte - **Item Volume:** 1.3 fluid ounces - **Paint Type:** Oil - **Size:** 48 Count (Pack of 1) - **Special Feature:** Lightweight - **Specific Uses For Product:** Drawing - **Surface Recommendation:** Fabric - **Unit Count:** 48 Count ## Images ![SENNELIER Oil French Pastel for Professional Artists, Introductory Set of 48 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71QYucVGbhL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Do you have a color chart of the pastels?
