I have thin when wet wavy/curly hair. It can dry naturally into a thick-appearing frizzy matted mess, or I can apply lots of product to tame it and better shape curls, or I can blow dry and straighten it (but god help me if there is 1% of humidity or a random drop of water hits my head). My curls are temperamental too though - I can't put too much, can't be too heavy, or too sticky, or too light. Basically I have a big PITA on my head. Anyways, this stuff has some magical softening/silkening ingredient that makes my hair softer and silkier and manageable and my curls more defined. Maybe it's silicone or sulfates, I honestly don't care and will put whatever ingredient on my head that will allow me to fake it like a normal person with normal hair.This stuff is too thick and sticky right out of the jar; however, if I just put a little dab on my fingers and add some warm water and mix it all over my hands and fingers they get all slick and silky and I can finagle this all into the ends of my curls shaping, scrunching, etc. So I really do use very little, but with the water it makes it soft and slick and then my curls dry defined but soft. I don't have to crunch out the hard parts like with mouse - it just dries defined and soft. I recently ran low and attempted to skip it on days I thought I could get away with not using it and the difference is so insane. I can't do my curls without this, I mean I can but why would I when they come out so much better and softer and more manageable with this magic sauce!?!? I love this stuff. I wish they made more products with whatever it is that makes this slick and soft. I'm thinking about trying to mix a little with some warm water in a spray bottle to see if I can use it as a second day spray instead of having to use my wet fingers again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars This Products Really Melt's Down the Tangles in Your Hair. *by R***. on Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2015* My first review of this product was about the packaging. The way I received the product from the shipper. Some of the product had seeped on top of the inner lid liner and appeared dry where some air may have gotten to the exposed product. I had not used the product at that time. I have used the product only once and was very pleased with the performance of the product on my very fine 3c/4a curly hair. My curls are about the size of a knitting needle or a pen. My curls get tangled very easy and finding a product that will help with the detangling process can be a challenge. I followed the direction for the product, it does what it says it will do. It melted away the tangles in my hair which helped with the detangling process. It doesn't have a lot of slip. I wet my hair put the product on each of the four sections and placed a plastic cap on my head. I did not attempt to detangle my hair at that time. I actually had to keep the product on my hair longer than recommended because I had an errand that I had to run which took an hour. I was not able to sit under the dryer or used a heat cap, but I love the results. I usually use a combination of finger detangle and a wide tooth comb during the detangling process. I was able to take a wide tooth comb and distribute the product through my hair without any tangles of knots, which resulted in less shedding or breaking. It is a bit pricy, and I wished that it was a little less expensive, but it works. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Great as a weekly deep treatment and a leave-in conditioner *by R***G on Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2015* Dang, I wish Ouidad would quit coming up with awesome and expensive new products, because I just love almost everything she releases. This one is a winner. It smells great and it is very hydrating. I use this after every shampoo, which is once or twice a week. I also "co-wash" my hair with conditioner between shampoos, and I use a dime-sized dab of this Mask as a leave-in treatment that I comb through soaking wet hair, and then style as usual with the Rake & Shake technique and Ouidad's Heat & Humidity gel. I love how sleek and polished my hair looks when I use this mask.I don't like the jar packaging and I wish it came in a squeeze tube, but otherwise it's lovely. The package says that it warms on your hair, which I haven't personally noticed. Regardless, this is a fantastic deep treatment and conditioner.
