He suffers from migraines and wears Axon Optics glasses while working at the hospital under the glare of fluorescent lights. I am female with an oval shaped head (my prescription glasses are 51-16-135), and these fit perfectly. The inside premium lenses, while wearing them, give everything a cheerful light rosy color. They also provide immediate relief from eye strain, especially when looking at a computer screen or in a brightly lit store. I believe these block 40% of blue-light.My last migraine started prior to receiving these glasses. Unfortunately, I did not have my medication with me and the migraine erupted into a full blown 5 day hell. The glasses arrived and wearing them during a migraine provided some relief, to my surprise. I was told these were more preventive.I emailed Axon Optics about purchasing a pair of prescription glasses, as the last thing I want to do before a migraine starts is wear my contacts. I told them I purchased the non prescription glasses through Amazon and was curious if they could use this particular pair for my prescription. I received an amazing email quickly back from customer service laying out a complete cost analysis of all my options. (Note: they can not use the glasses bought as non prescription without a fee, but you can send in any frame for prescription glasses for the same fee.)The cost analysis made me decide to keep the glasses bought from Amazon and purchase an additional prescription pair directly from them.Bottom Line:- These work for around 80% of people with various light sensitivity medical issues. They work for me. Additionally, great for computer use or any screen.- For this reason, I suggest trying them out before committing to a prescription.- Customer service is amazing.- Not all FL-41 tints are the same in terms of quality. This is why I chose these above cheaper tinted glasses, per my doctor.- You do have the option of sending in your own frame. I happen to like the pair I bought.Have a pain free day! I have a small head so my prescription glasses are kid sized. I should have thought of that upon ordering, I didn't. My bad. But it's light enough that you can see even in the dark, but dark enough you don't need sunglasses.
