Review: Great value, good lay flat design pinnacle 180 half zip testing done. - Hello all, I have had both versions of this hammock, the first one with the regular net, and the new 180 with the no seeum net. first off I ordered the 360 but only received the 180 not sure what happened in shipping but it is what it is. ok now on to the review, The first version of this hammock was pretty decent, however, It soon came to not be so great after only 6 months of barely any use. Im not a big guy by any means, but I am 5'9" tall about 220lbs, and the first version did not hold up to my weight. the ends where the loops are, ripped and came unsewn, and the ridgeline snapped and broke. I sent it back in and they repaired it had it back about 1 month and the ridgeline snapped again. I decided to not send it back but instead decided to order the new 360 with no seeum net. I instead received the 180 with no seeum net. I am still currently still testing this hammock. the results will be coming soon. all I can say is stay tuned for further information on this new version, so far and very pleased with the hammock even though still not able to lay flat on diagonal lay. more info coming. update: I have had the new 180 updated version now almost a year into testing and I have to say this thing is a winner. Ridge outdoor gear if you read this I suggest you all start making an underquilt to go in this thing. now on with the update. I have had this thing, and have been out testing it in all conditions, rain, high heat, high humidity, freezing cold and so far nothing but great things to say about it. this hammock has 3 glaringly obvious things missing and this thing would be fantastic, #1 you need longer straps on occasion I recommend you go to your local Dicks sporting goods, Academy sports and outdoors, or some local sporting goods store and buying an extra set of 12 ft tree straps the 8ft ones are good but sometimes too short shown in pic I had to use 12ft ones to reach the trees the 8ft ones were too short I tried but they just did not reach get the 12ft ones you will need them, #2 not really a needed item but the cover shown in the 1 picture I have uploaded would be nice to have especially if it was able to zip on and zip off but its not. #3 an underquilt for winter use is needed, I end up purchasing the one tigris double underquilt which has its own problems but it works for my needs currently. the one tigris underquilt on either end comes with 2 plastic small hooks which hook to the 2 ends of the hammock and 2 shock cords tied on either end of the underquilt which after the first day of use of both hooks broke sadly. so I end up using the 2 shock ties and tied them together at either end and used 2 small carabiner clips to attach it to the end of the hammock, which worked but really needs 4 shock cords and not just 2 so you can attach it to the hammock properly. this hammock is great in winter, summer, spring, and fall so long as you have all the right equipment to use it. if you have the suggested items longer straps, an underquilt, and a tarp to cover the top or a way to cover it on both sides this thing is awesome. The new 180 no seeum net and the new ridgline in this thing is great, and the sliding pocket on the ridgline is great. the only thing the pinnacle 180 doesn't have any longer that the regular one had is the side pocket shown in the pics. the 180 has an open end on both ends of the stuff sack it comes with. which isn't a bad thing its actually easier for packing but I loved the side pocket because I could put a water bottle in it if I needed a drink in the middle of the night and didn't have to get up and go search my pack for it. other than that zero complaints about the new 180 it has out performed my expectations and no issues with the ridgline breaking or tearing away. I would have liked to use the 360 to see how it compares but I would guess its about the same just the exception is it sips on both sides and not just half a side. so there you go, if you want to get this thing I highly recommend it get it and enjoy using it.
Review: Wonderful hammock! - My daughter and I are first time hammock hangers coming from using a tent and, as far as things have went, I dont think we will not be going back to a tent anytime soon. Out in the woods the only slight delay we had was simply finding suitable trees of a good distance. Otherwise the process went smoothly and the simple setup of the carabiner and straps and looping them around a tree was so child's play. The hammock is quite light. Some ultralight outdoors folks will switch to whoopie slings or different straps to save a few ounces. I am probanly 80-90% ultralight in what I carry, but I enjoy having some well built items, particularly the Big 3 items, because I need to rely on them 100% no matter where I am without second guessing. So having a couple items here and there that weight a few more ounces than the norm is perfectly acceptable to me. With the straps we carefully used them around a pine tree without damaging the bark beyond a few small flakes falling as I made the loops. The hammock stayed put all night without any slippage at all. We used a pair of Klymit V insulated sleeping pads and inflatable pillows and all went well as far as comfort goes. So in the end we had a wonderful primitive/dispersed camping experience with these and are both looking forward to the next outing!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The most 4 your buck
*by C***S on October 19, 2020*

Very nice..took a whopping 3 mins to hang and a big 5 mins to put back into bag... mine had already been updated saving me the stuff you see online..ridgeline was replaced and stuff bag is double open end..love being able to leave bag online not worring about it getting dirty or lost. Im 510 and needed a longer version the most that was offered and i plan on ordering another 1 here soon for the ol lady.. the daisy chain strap is huge. Material is of course thhhin but feels strong. Plenty big enough to lay at a comfortable angle and not a bananna..the netting is solid and so far the buzzing has been on the other side. Got to give props to a company that listens to the buyers and went the extra mile to turn this into a very good product at a very fair price by changing ridgeline and bag..ty ty
