Review: This stuff is the OG of kitten milk replacers - used it for 2 months and has helped many a kitten - I ended up with cats from neighbor's house because they never fix anyone. So kittens naturally became a part of my yard and land. Some of the mothers were sick, so we opted to take the kittens and raise them in the house where they'd be safe from predators and illness. KMR has saved the day when it comes to getting adequate nutrition into these babies. I've also used it for my older cats when they don't have much appetite. It is an all round great product and super easy to use.
Review: Great product from my years of rescuing cats and abandoned kittens. - I was really suprised to see that this had been pulled from the website by desertcart due to problems by some customers. I bought 2 12oz containers in Jan 2017 and have been feeding two cats who have health issues, albeit non life threatening. They both love it, no problems eliminating and no vomiting. They meow for it every morning. To them, a treat. It has helped them to put on weight and maintain it. Purchased this in 5# bags, 3 in all (from desertcart) over a year ago for a friend who rescued a litter of 5 when their feral mom abandoned them. All are now healthy active cats, spayed and neutered. None of the problems reported by a few others. Now 18 monrths old, some still like KMR as a treat, some don't. Some don't like cooked chicken or wet cat food either. Go figure. Seems to be just personal preference. In the past, I fed this twice daily mixed with a prescription canned food to a cat who needed a liquid diet. She devoured it for her entire life. No problems from either end. :) I raised several litters of bottle babies on KMR over the past 15 years or so. Never had a problem with vomiting or clumping. Takes a couple of minutes stirring with a fork in lukewarm water to dissolve it. (I use my well water from the tap, I have no experience mixing it with water from a chlorinated public water supply, so can't comment on that.) I keep it in the fridge, since this is a small container. The 5# bags I kept in the freezer, just took a week's supply out at a time and stored that in the fridge. And so I was very disappointed to find that desertcart has pulled it from their website, since my supply is running low. I can special order it from my Vet. Just easier to have it delivered along with my other stuff.

A: Yes, but not immediately after opening. KMR powder can be stored at room temperature for up to 2 months after opening and then must be refrigerated. (KMR powder can be used up to 1 additional month after refrigeration.)

**Q: How much do I feed my kitten?**
A: We suggest feeding a kitten 2 tablespoons of liquid or reconstituted powder milk replacer per 4 ounces of body weight in a 24 hour period. For instance, a kitten weighing 8 ounces should receive 4 tablespoons of formula within 24 hours.

**Q: Can KMR be fed to a puppy or Esbilac to a kitten?**
A: No, each of our PetAg formulas are designed for the specific nutritional needs of the species (ie, dog or cat) and they are not interchangeable.

**Q: Why are the fat and protein levels in Esbilac/KMR liquid different than in the powders?**
A: The fat and protein levels on powdered milk replacers are higher because they reflect the nutrients of the undiluted powder. After adding 2 parts water, the fat and protein content will match that of the liquid milk replacer.

**Q: The formula looks clumpy or smells like spoiled milk, is it safe for use?**
A: No. Milk Replacers are perishable products. If a formula appears to be spoiled in any way, it should NEVER be fed to an animal.
