You don't need arrow keys when you can just tap the bottom right of the board's FN/FN2/CTRL/Shift buttons as arrow keys! When I see a spelling mistake or click one over and want to use the arrows I no longer need to push FN+keys at the same time for arrows, simply use the keys that typically only do something when HELD DOWN as TAP keys!! THIS IS GENIUS. I can't believe I've never seen this on another board before. After my last small sized board like this, I thought I needed the arrows because I kept finding myself reaching for them... not anymore, not with this! THIS IS PERFECT.#2 - The software. Oh man, the coolest RGB options are on this board and they shine THROUGH the caps and the caps feel really high quality as well. You can customize RGB but also you can customize the tap function I was mentioning, rebind keys completely, turn off and on the FN Lock (caps lock) settings and binds, and more. My favorite lighting is when you press a key it glows for a second then fades out, and each press makes a different color show up, so it looks like I'm blasting rainbow vibes into my keyboard each time I press a key and I absolutely love the way it looks! It's enchanting.Now, beyond those two things, this is a fairly standard (in a good way) mechanical keyboard. I have had Kailh brown, Cherry brown, and now completing the browns with this Gateron browns board. Gateron browns definitely feel the smoothest, the tactile part is just the right amount (not quite as satisfying as the cherry browns, but they are definitely faster and smoother and the keypress actually occurs ON THE CLICK. Actuation occuring on the click is a big deal because if you think "oh, I hit the button" and then it doesn't come up on the screen.. or "oh, I didn't actuate it" but then it DOES come up on the screen, it can get really annoying. This doesn't have that issue like the kailh browns do.) I can't really decide if I like cherry or gateron browns more (DOO NOT like the Kailhs.. sorry kailh, lol) it's either fast and smooth or a bit slower but more rewarding. This might be better for typing faster and for gaming, but the cherry might be better just straight up feeling.I also have an optical board that I'm modding a bunch of stuff on, and I think between that board and this one I MAY be happy. Time to sell my kail and cherry boards, and just keep this one for typing (honestly, just because of the tap keys is good enough reason for me to recommend this HIGHLY) and the optical one for gaming (it's just a bit faster than this, this works great for gaming too)oh, and PS- the white keyboard looks soooo good!! Way way better than I even imagined it was going to look. I cannot get enough of the look of this board.. especially while the rainbow buttons are blasting away!TLDR/in summary - this is probably the most functional and nicest looking small sized board out there. I was skeptical because on Amazon, this is featured as an 'EPOMAKER' Anne Pro 2. I was like 'Epomaker?' Turns out that they're a reputable distributor.The bluetooth is doable, the RGB was a lot brighter than what most of the reviewers on YouTube said they were (I have the white version so maybe that's why). The Cherry MX Blue switches are amazing on this thing. But just like a lot of the mechanical keyboards I own, the bigger caps that use stabilizers to prevent too much keycap wobble feel different. I get the nice clicky tactile feedback with the regular keys but with the spacebar, backspace and enter key, it sure feels different. I'm used to this because my Ducky and Corsair keyboards have that same issue.Other than that, this keyboard is exactly what I needed and what I bought it for: a joy for typing (I use Cherry MX Blues primarily for typing)Update: I liked this keyboard so much that I bought one with Cherry MX Reds (for gaming). Very very nice. I wouldn't recommend the Gateron Reds since they are indeed smooth but have a slight wobble to each key. Bit of a learning curve. *by O***. on Reviewed in the United States on June 10, 2021* I got this item as a gift for my wife, who does a fair amount of video and podcast production, and needed a compact keyboard for her desk. She uses Apple machines, but doesn't love the "magic keyboard." She's been using more "gamer" oriented gear in her setup even though we're not gamers, because it tends to work, and as a bonus, usually has fancy LED lighting, which can be fun, especially if you want to work in subdued lighting as she does.When this unit first arrived, it impressed right out of the box. It's well packed and heavy, and comes with a special tool for swapping out keys for custom setups. It feels like a $100 keyboard.We did have a little trouble setting it up. The instructions were not helpful, and it took a moment to realize that you need to locate and download software online to utilize all the fancy adjustments. Once I found that (there is an Apple/Mac friendly version available for free from the manufacturer) everything was good. It's a robust program with a fairly intuitive interface. You can customize keys and lighting to your preference, which is important, because you're missing a few typical keys, like arrow buttons, and she needed to establish which keys to use, where to put the Apple "command" button, etc. And of course to play with the lighting.BluetoothI verified the unit is putting out a Bluetooth signal with my own machine, but so far my wife is using it plugged in, so I can't judge as to whether there are issues with lag or battery life, but having the choice to use it wired or wirelessly is obviously a big plus.Keys/FeelMy wife didn't want "clicky" noises because she's often recording sound, so we picked the "brown" switches. They do make noise. Not a loud "click," but a more noticeable mechanical sound than a typical office computer keyboard. She's happy with it because she loves the keyboard, but I didn't realize how loud "quiet" mechanical keys can be. The keys themselves have a great solid feel and noticeably more travel than cheaper keyboards. I am used to more pedestrian keyboards, and I don't know that I would choose one of these over a standard keyboard or the Apple units. But she says she loves it, and I don't think she's just being nice, because she uses it a lot, and she's not one to deal with bad equipment just to be nice.ConclusionThis is a well-built, high-tech mechanical keyboard with great flexibility for customization. It takes up very little space on the desktop and feels like it's built to last. The lighting is not only cool but useful for seeing what you're doing in low lighting, and can be programmed to highlight particular parts of the keyboard in whatever color. Smart.
