So i would estimate that to be peak power. the reality is it will do a total of around 60. to push 500 out of it it would draw 60 amps , it has a 5 amp fuse so 30 per channels is a realistic value.It is very temperature sensitive so mount it somewhere with lots of air flow **Q: What are the product dametions?** A: the diamentions about 2 h x4w x 6d very small for 500 watts?,,, i like for use on a small monitors..clean at mid volume,,,tad dirty on louder volumes,,,,over all OKAY...at best....size and power useage are its best features... **Q: can it be powerd by a outlet? like with a adaptor?** A: No **Q: does this item push out 500 watts as advertised?** A: I'm not sure, Justin.
