Review: Great for heavy wood on wood drawers to slide - I have a very old workbench that I have always struggled with to open and close the drawers when they are loaded with tools as these drawers are wood on wood. This tape on the bottom sticks well to that old wood and makes it much easier to open and close the drawers. This tape does not work as well as if I had installed slides but works so much better and very simple to install.

**Q: how thick is backing vs tape?**
A: Hi,
Thank you for your interest in our tapes.
The backing thickness for this product is 10mil, and total is 12.8mil.

**Q: Would this work on an old dresser where the drawers stick and don't have rails/runners?**
A: This is like applying tape to a flat surface. The surfaces in contact should be smooth and flat for good adhesion. So if there is sufficient smooth, flat surface to apply the tape to, it will definitely greatly reduce the contact friction. The UHMW tape has a very low friction surface. Apply to both contacted surfaces if you can. You may need to trim the width of the UHMW tape to fit. The tape is very thin, 5 mil - the thickness of a piece of paper, so it shouldn't impact the fitting of the drawers.

**Q: What is the difference between 5 mil uhmw and 10 mil uhmw?**
A: 5 mil=.005" of an inch in thickness.--10 mil= .010" of an inch in thickness.

Therefore, 10 mil is twice as thick as 5 mil thickness wise. Hope this helps!

**Q: can this be used in salt water?**

This tape on the bottom sticks well to that old wood and makes it much easier to open and close the drawers. Holy crap this tape is AMAZING! I had never heard of this type of “slick” tape before so when I saw it I figured I’d give it a try and I am soooo happy I did. WOW! So mine came in a small roll wrapped in plastic wrap which was a bit odd as I was expecting it to at least look as it does in the pic but ok I guess. After touching it I immediately knew I would love this stuff. The first thing I could think of using it on way my Milwaukee M18 track saw so I cut a few thin small pieces and stuck them underneath the base of my saw where it comes in contact with the aluminum guide track and on the little plastic tensioner pieces that squeeze the track as you tighten them so there isn’t any side to side play whenever you are making a precise cut. The results are insane! This thing literally flys up and down this track now like it’s fully loosened but it’s actually tightened so there’s no play. It’s super wild how much of a difference this stuff made. I’m super excited to come up with new ways to put this stuff to good use and will absolutely be buying another roll when this one is gone and I’ll be getting the largest one the sell. Seriously give this stuff a try I promise you won’t be disappointed especially if you want your track saw to glide better than you thought possible. Check the pics to see where I tapped.
