I put this pillow in my travel trailer about a year ago and needed a new one at home. I've tried about 3 since then, and ended up with neck pain and headaches. So, I'm back to buy this one again. Given that--it deserves a new rating. However, as someone in the comments suggested, I will buy satin cover so that my pillow case shifts smoothly.Original review:I really like this pillow. I switched to neck roll pillows for sleeping over a year ago. Headaches from sleeping poorly due to a kinked neck have virtually disappeared. However, the original pillows I bought were quite cheap and didn't hold up well as actual sleeping pillows.I have not had this a year yet, but I do like it. It seems to hold up well to my tossing and turning and helps me maintain better sleeping posture (hence no headaches) whether I'm on my back or my sides. Despite it being firmer than the cheap-o ones I had, my ears never hurt when side-sleeping. The memory foam molds to me making for a custom "fit" no matter how I'm sleeping.I don't know how to describe the firmness. It's far firmer than the cheap neck rolls I had (I suspect they were meant to be for decorative pillows), but at the same time it easily shapes to my neck. It is supportive, but not rigid.My only complaint is the velour (or whatever it is) material on the outside of this pillow. It's soft, but it doesn't allow my pillowcase to move or slide easily when I need to adjust the fit. I bought this to use under my head and neck at night, hoping that it would prevent me from waking up with headaches. Truthfully, it was a little too firm for me at first. After a few nights, it flattened a little bit and I stopped getting headaches. However, I would wake up with a very sore mid to upper back. After a little research online it seems that this is happening because the pillow is too high, causing strain on my back muscles. I think it is too low to use under my knees at night, so I'm not sure what I will use it for.
