I used a drimmel to sand down the rusty places on my dishwasher rack before I even opened the bottle.Kept acetone (nail polish remover) handy throughout the "painting" and made sure I kept the top of the bottle clean throughout...this allows the bottle to be closed AND REOPENED...this stuff dries quickly!On those horizontal places that were too thin after sanding to hold up, I "glued" a cap (that had been cut to go around the wire) using the UG as both glue and "top coat". After several weeks of use in my dishwasher, there's only 1 place that needs a touchup...and once that's done, I don't expect to need it again. I'll be in the market for a new dishwasher by that time. Uber Goop has given me lot's of time before I need to start looking! Well worth the price and the effort. Just have to plan your strategy (bottom first, let dry, flip to work on top so that the drips go toward the underside). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dishwasher Interior Almost Like New!! *by E***E on Reviewed in the United States on December 6, 2009* My Kenmore dishwasher is still working fine, however, it developed several rust spots on the interior, on the tines and on the metal frame of the bottom rack. It would have cost alot to replace the rack itself so I explored other options. I checked with the large retail store that sold the dishwasher and they wanted approximately 3 times more than what Amazon offered this similar product for. Granted, the light blue color "paint" and caps are slightly off from my appliances light blue color, but I'm certain no one but me would notice. It was a fantastic experience to cover and protect the rust spots and to cap the tines. It was absolutely simple to give my dishwasher this inexpensive "face lift." I would highly recommend buying this product. Of course we might all like to buy new appliances when they start to not look new any more, but mine now looks years younger and as I said before, still works fine.
