Pulsar PG7000D 5,000 Rated Watts Closed Frame Diesel-Powered Generator with Electric Start, EPA Approved

This is the second generator sent by Amazon as the first generator was ruined by battery acid and fluids all over the generator, inside the box, because it had been shipped turned on it's side, badly corroded. Refused to accept delivery on that one.This new one was delivered right side up, but box torn apart at the bottom, wheel kit and parts falling out inside shipping truck, delivery men picked up everything, gave it to us. Through the same torn up box opening I could to see the battery, if it had spilled, no apparent spillage. Strapped it into our truck and drove it the 400 miles back to where it would be installed. A week later we went about installing it in our pump house, un-packaged generator, first thing out it is not the same generator as Amazon listing, still Pulsar but different color and labeling, it is also a 6500w not the listed 7000w that we were led to purchase. Our well pump will run on our backup 5500w gas gen., so the 6500w diesel will work, but what is going on. Next we checked measurements for the existing exhaust pipe with vibration damper and electrical connections to see if it will match up well enough with new diesel gen.?, the NEW generators muffler exhaust opening is half covered by frame/sheet metal body panel? start looking for problem and finally notice the NEW gen's angle iron engine carrier frame is bent and deformed about an inch and a half downwards, on one corner, right by the rubber engine mount, do you have any idea how many feet up the generator would have had to be dropped to do that kind of damage? Next concern, has the cast aluminum engine case been cracked at bolt up to the bent frame? Decide to take it apart, check the case and straighten frame. Four hours later we have the NEW generator back together, no apparent crack in case. and frame almost straight/true after having to use a sledge hammer and anvil, muffler now aligns with side panel opening and oil drain plug is free instead of jammed in frame. Finally install NEW gen. in pump house, connect the existing exhaust, electrical we decided to go with plug in, instead of hard wire just in case we have to rip NEW gen. out, the supplied 30A twist plug is as cheap as it gets, will pick up a Hubbel NEMA when we get into town. OK finally there, top off oil, fill tank and start, first crank starts up and runs, a few sputters as air gaps pulled through fuel lines, power came right up and stayed at 240w. Ran it four hours to fill one storage tank, no flutters, with no noticeable load drop. So the engine and alternator seem to run fine even though being beat to death again by shipping company, and we repair damage. Amazon will not take these generators back, just refund money, I never wanted a refund, just a NEW undamaged generator. I am not buying for a third time and doing the 800 miles round trip for a third time. Still can not get over buying a 7000w and receiving a 6500w???

Generator worked great for 44 hours and then died. Hasn't started since even though I spent hours on the phone with the manufacturer to troubleshoot and replace parts. Can't find anyone who is willing to repair it either, every shop tells me they won't work on the Pulsar brand because they have nothing but problems.

Don't waste your money! The box came looking good. However, after the driver left and we opened it, the battery had been thrown all over with acid everywhere! Many parts are rusted and/or broken. A worthless pile of useless junk that cannot be returned and now has only scrap value!

Very bad product stop working after 2 weeks. Up to this date haven't been able to get ahold of anyone to help me replace it or even fix it.. don't buy this brand

I purchased a generator 2 years ago called GT Power and colored red but the same generator.The only trouble I have is dead battery. I have tried cable cut offs and solar panel battery charger ,nothing worked. So I did what the manuel stated disconnect the battery and put a battery minder on Ithe battery to keep it hot. It is a little trouble to hook-up the battery in the middle of the night but it always cranks.It is the quites generator I've owned. I was tried of bad gas and when needed a gas generator want start unless drain of gas after use and refilled with fresh fuel when needed.Diesel doesn"t go bad and can be stored. I can hook the battery up in less than a min.
