Under normal circumstances it should only take an hour to remove the old one and fit this new one but, having fixed it with one screw and then marked the hole positions for the other screws, the first screw snapped off when undoing it. I tried many options to remove it but to no avail so I had to drill another hole. The supplied screws are of a poor quality so they went in the recycle bin. Getting back to the cowling, it was fitted On a very windy day but there was no drought at all inside the bathroom. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a draught reduction through an extractor fan. Review: The only vent to stop as much back draught as possible - After trying many different vents and back draught shutters, getting annoyed hearing banging of flaps in the wind - this is the only one that’ll slow the wind enough to stop my extractor fan’s built in backdraught flaps to not bang in the wind constantly which was driving me mad.
