Review: Beautiful, smooth and easy to operate, best cover I ever owned - Super impressed, got this today and installed it in a couple of hours, directions were clear and I love the fit and it functions effortlessly. Also very impressed with the installation tools, not cheap junk an actual ratcheting reversible driver with bits and and amazingly enough a real double ended fixed socket wrench. Did not need my tools at all except a knife. Definitely worth the price!!!!!
Review: Definitely a good buy! - Why SyneticUSA I sold my previous Ram Laramie 2016 with a Gator Trax retractable. It still worked, but the slide was starting to drag somewhat. Not what I expected for a 3 year old product. I bought a 2020 Built to Serve Ram and I needed a retractable for a variety of reasons. I researched, shopped, and wore out the internet looking for something I thought would be better than the Gator Trax. Better meaning quality AND price. Most retractables start around 1,000 dollars and go up to way off of my scale of worth. I came across the SyneticUSA on desertcart. Price was lowest of any retractable I came across. That certainly made me nervous, but saw I could return it. So I ordered. Opening of Box Impressions Well packaged, instructions better than last retractable I owned. Top is solid aluminum slats, nicely finished. Four drain tubes over most that offer two, lots of rubber and foam gaskets to seal out water. Even extra wide foam strip in case tailgate didn't seal perfectly. Really looked like a quality product. Assembly Install took me one hour, but I did have a little experience from previous retractable. Instructions we readable, and all of my pieces fit together well. I did entire job myself, but would recommend two people for the process of lifting and setting on the truck bed and positioned. Manufacturer went the extra step of providing some extra parts for areas where you might experience wear and tear (locking assembly). Misc. I had read in the 5th gen Ram forum that while the entire unit was black, four bolts that hold down the rollback cover were silver. Mine were as well, but with a little left over hi temp flat black I had for the BBQ, I sprayed them waited an hour and installed. They look great! I had also read that the two locks for the top have separate keys. The manufacturer even responded to an FAQ stating the computer design program gave unique keys to all locks. HOWEVER, they may have fixed that as my two keys were the same and worked in both locks Impression The unit has only been on the truck two weeks. So far, very impressed and really happy with it. Looks great and matches the flat black on my truck perfectly. For the price, I don't think you can beat it. I have not experienced rainy weather yet, but will update when that happens. I will update this with photos shortly (dark outside) as well as after using it for a while. I would recommend this product.

## Features

- FITS RAM 1500 2009–2026 WITH 5.7 FT BED — WORKS WITH FACTORY DECK RAILS: Precision-fit for standard Ram 1500 fleetside beds, crew cab and quad cab. Compatible with factory bed utility rails (deck rails) and spray-in or drop-in bed liners. Not compatible with RamBox, Multi-Function (Split) tailgate, OEM sport bar, or Stepside bed. Message us your year and trim to confirm fit before ordering.
- 6063-T5 AEROSPACE-GRADE ALUMINUM — 600 LBS CAPACITY, DUAL-LOCK SECURITY, 3-YEAR COVERAGE: Built from the same alloy used in structural aerospace applications — resists warping, denting, and corrosion through freezing winters, summer heat, and road salt. Supports 600 lbs of evenly distributed static weight. Dual-lock system locks both sides simultaneously with one key — cover cannot retract while locked. Backed by Syneticusa's 3-year manufacturer coverage.
- WATERPROOF & ALL-WEATHER RATED — CAR WASH SAFE, COLD CLIMATE TESTED: Full-length EPDM rubber weatherstripping seals both rails, front, and rear. Four integrated 1-inch drain tubes channel water away from cargo in heavy rain, snow, and sleet. Matte black powder-coat finish resists fading and scratching. Safe for touchless and soft-brush automatic car washes. EPDM seals stay pliable in freezing temperatures.
- NO-DRILL BOLT-ON INSTALL — ONE PERSON, 60–90 MIN. REMOVES IN ~10 MIN: Six-clamp rail mount system attaches directly to the bed rail — no cutting, no welding, no permanent changes to your truck. Full removal takes approximately 10 minutes — loosen 6 clamps and lift off for complete bed access. All mounting hardware and step-by-step instructions included. Note: four 1-inch holes required for drain tube installation.
- LOW-PROFILE RETRACTABLE DESIGN — EASY TO CLEAN, MINIMAL MAINTENANCE: Flush-mount matte black aluminum slats sit tight against the cab roofline for a clean factory appearance with no flutter at highway speed. Clean with car wash soap and water — no special products needed. Only routine maintenance: apply included lubricant oil to rails every 6 months for smooth, quiet retraction year-round.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What trucks does this cover fit?**
A: Fits Dodge/Ram 1500 2009–2026 with 5.7 ft (67.4 in) bed, crew and quad cab. Not compatible with RamBox, Multi-Function tailgate, OEM sport bar, or Stepside bed. Compatible with factory deck rails. Message us your year and trim to confirm.

**Q: Is the cover waterproof?**
A: Yes. Sealed EPDM rubber weatherstripping runs the full length of both rails with front and rear seals. Four 1-inch drain tubes channel water out of the canister. Handles heavy rain, snow, and sleet. Not designed for full submersion.

**Q: How secure is the locking system?**
A: Dual-lock system locks both driver and passenger sides simultaneously with one key. Cover cannot retract while locked. More secure than single-point locking covers. Weather-sealed lock cylinders resist freezing in cold climates.

**Q: How difficult is installation and removal?**
A: No-drill bolt-on clamp system installs in 60–90 min with basic hand tools. Requires drilling four 1-inch holes for drain tubes. Full removal takes ~10 min — loosen 6 clamps and lift off. All hardware and instructions included.

**Q: Does the cover work with a bed liner and factory deck rails?**
A: Yes. Compatible with spray-in and drop-in bed liners. Mounts over the bed rail using 6 clamps — does not touch the bed floor. Also works with factory Ram bed utility rails (deck rails) without blocking their use.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A good cover, but a tad short
*by K***Y on June 4, 2025*

Bought this a few days ago for my Ram 1500, based on price point and some reviews about this product. Took me about 3 hours to assemble due to bad instructions and the video not explaining some things correctly. Also the overall length is a tad short (about half an inch or so), so you have to really align the canister end such that it is barely touching the bulkhead of the truck bed. Even with all of that there is still a small gap on the tailgate end through which some water can seep in, so I now need to think of a way to close this gap. Overall looks pretty good, so would still give it about 3.5 stars.
