## Description

The S100-1501 is an all-purpose foot switch made of steel with a solid steel shaft for toughness. Simply press and hold to turn on, lift your foot from the pedal to turn off the tool. Ideal for power tools, hand tools, woodworking or router foot pedals (Billy Pedal), grinders or shavers, meat grinder foot switch (such as for LEM or Cabelas), sanders, vacuum, and more. (Note: This product does not vary the speed; it just turns the power on and off.) To attach, just plug the pedal into your North American wall outlet, and then plug your device into the back of that plug, and the foot switch will now be in line with the device. This is a momentary foot switch, which means that it turns your product on when your foot is on the pedal, and turns it off when you release your foot from the pedal. Features a 15-amp, 125 VAC-rated switch with an 8-foot cable and a 3-pronged piggyback plug (NEMA 5-15 series). Enclosure rating is UL/CSA/NEMA Type 1 and IEC 60529 IP20. **Q: Will this work with a (15amp) 1hp motor on a wood lathe.**
A: Hi.  Yes, if you're product is rated for 15 amps, then you're not exceeding the 15-amp rating of this foot switch.  It will work fine.  The capacitor start is a good point, but because it's on the motor side of the foot switch, the power it dumps into the motor on startup doesn't run through the footswitch cable. **Q: I need a switch for my dental welder; will this come with a 2-prong male plug?**
A: No, but it should still work for your application.  It has a 2-wire w/ground combination male plug and female receptacle.  That is, on one side of the plug there are 2 flat blades and 1 round pin that will fit in any 15 or 20 amp polarized grounded outlet receptacle.  On the other side of the plug is a polarized female receptacle (this is where you plug your dental welding's 2-prong male plug in) with 2 flat slots and 1 round hole that will accept any 15amp polarized male 2 blade plug or any 15amp male 2-wire w/ ground plug.

**Q: Will this work like a variac?**
A: The specs state that the SSC Controls S100-1501 is a foot control that turns the item on or off.

**Q: Would this work with a single speed Dremel rotary tool?**
A: Yes, It will work with any 120 volt item
