He loves to make up his own rules for playing. Even at his age, he is able to guess the item based on the clues given. At his age, he can't read yet, so he makes up his own clues when he is trying to get other people to guess what item is he looking for. Its a great game to engage children in word association. The packaging and quality of the box and cards is very high, and am very happy with the purchase of this game. I think we will enjoy it for many years to come. Which, when you think about playing with the same toy, is actually NOT bad. Your child will probably get sick of playing a game after 1-2 years anyway. However, you can also use the cards with a 2-3 year old to show them fun pictures and teach them new words. You can also play this game with older children. My kids ages 6-9 love this game. Is it SUPER easy for them? Yes. Is it a challenge for them? Not AT ALL. To some, that would make the game stupid and not worth getting for their child. I understand why. However, children have many challenges in life and likely already own a few challenging games. Giving them something to do that is EASY for them is a huge confidence booster. If your child is older than 5, get something else to stretch the brain muscles. But get this, too, to stretch those confidence muscles, too.Product-wise, I have to admit I was actually expecting it to be sorta junky. But the cards are fairly solid, the box is insanely sturdy. Yes, it appears deeper than it as, as others have said, but you really don't need more cards than it comes with, and this keeps the design theme strong.
