Unfortunately, I have hard water and even with filters, it is not entirely pleasant to drink with no additional filter. This bottle is very convenient as I can fill it up using my tap any time I want and the filter gives me fresh tasting, clean water. It also helps keep it cool longer due to the insulation. I only have ONE complaint, and it's not even a complaint really, more of a suggestion. Please add a handle. These bottles get heavy when they are filled, and it is difficult to get a good grasp on it and lift it especially for people who have arthritis in their hands. Review: DO NOT read the reviews, just go ahead and buy it. - I was skeptical when purchasing this because of the reviews, but overall the water bottle is amazing. My bottle and the one I bought my girlfriend were amazing. We had no issues what so ever. Go ahead and try it yourself. It was really easy to drink from, the filter works great, and I only had 2 minor issues. First thing is first, remember to not lift the bottle when drinking, just suck on the straw. If you are having issues sucking water, open the bottle and take the straw out. Move the straw to the left (where the tube is) leaving it in the unlock formation. I keep it slightly in between the unlock and lock, I am not sure if it helps, but I just want to make sure the straw doesn't come apart. Now on to my 2 biggest (but minor) pet peeves on this bottle: 1. When almost finished with the water in the bottle, there is some water at the bottom that the straw can't reach and it just stays there. 2. When I go to refill the bottle or clean it, I move the straw around on the inside to make sure all the water has come out. After about 5 seconds I THINK it is empty so I go to lift the straw out of the bottle. But, the as I lift the straw out and rotate it upwards, A LOT of water comes out and it makes me and my environment completely wet. There have been so many times I have cussed at the bottle because of this issue. One more thing, the bottle keeps the water cool for a long time. I love the bottle and I wished there was one with more capacity. Conclusion: DO NOT listen to the reviews. Go ahead and buy it, you will love it. Try it out, I doubt you will not like it. ## Features - FILTERED WATER DISPENSER: One 32 oz. You are not supposed to turn it up. You have to suck on the straw, pretty hard. It does take the chlorine taste out really well. **Q: Can I filter and use for hot water, normal filter says only for cold water?** A: The filter is attached to the straw. I'm not sure if there is a temp restriction for the filter functionally, but I personally wouldn't dring anything hot through the plastic straw. **Q: Is the bottle itself dishwasher safe?** A: Hi and thanks for asking! The BPA-Free Plastic models of our Premium Filtering Water Bottles are dishwasher safe in the top rack or can be washed by hand with a mild soap. Our Insulated Stainless Steel bottles should be hand-washed with mild soap (you can put the plastic lid in the dishwasher’s top rack or hand-wash). Always be sure to remove the filter before cleaning your bottle. We hope this helps. For any further assistance, please contact us at 800-242-7482 and mention reference number: 190122-001054. Kai from the Brita team **Q: What type of filter is it ? Carbon?** A: Yes ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really nice water filter bottle *by C***N on May 26, 2026* This water bottle is awesome.
