Review: Great Deal of a Camera - I absolutely love this dog camera! The video quality is crystal clear, and the audio works really well, so I can both see and hear my dog whenever I’m away. Review: Good indoor pet monitor camera - I am actually a pretty fan of these cameras. When I bought them they were about $22 a piece for the 1080p pan and tilt cameras, and at that price I would say they are worth the purchase. The cameras have a pretty good picture in the house. They're not necessarily good enough to read someones name tag, but they definitely let you know what's going on in the room. The motor in the camera to pan and tilt it is pretty quiet. The audio pick up from the room is not super good. You can definitely hear, and if you are talking through the camera to someone in the room and they talk back directly to you, you will hear them. If people are just talking quietly in the room you may not be able to hear them well on the camera. The night vision works pretty well, though of course, the picture is better with a light on in the room. They are NOT good at looking through a window to see outside when it's dark out. The screen or the glass reflect the night vision IR light and blind the camera, so if you want an indoor camera to monitor through the window for what's going on outside, this will only do that with good daylight outside. The app is easy to set up and use. You can install a micro sd card to record video and audio on site, but there is some peculiarity with the format of the video that comes from it. I had something recorded on the sd card, which I have had a lot of trouble (and not yet been successful) in transferring to my computer. In general though, and until I find out that Kasa has been spying on us the whole time, I like these cameras a pet monitors.

**Q: How is the app?**
A: Those saying this is a great app just haven't used other apps yet.  This app does not even have a way to download or create a video from the SD card within the app.  You have to manually get the SD card out of the device (that means getting a ladder for the outdoor cams) and put it into your computer and making the video from there.  This app seems somewhat disjointed as it has "view activity" in one place and it's another place if you click thru the notification.    Some companies have good apps but poor camera and some have a poor app but great cameras.   If only we could find that one company that has a great app AND a great camera.    This one doesn't seem to be it either.  You have to decide what is more important to you - great app (needed features and more control) with ok cameras (like 1080p) or great cameras (2K+) with ok app (less features, less control)   For our needs - this is a great camera but just an ok app.    We'd like to find one that is great camera, great app - this is camera #4 and we have yet to find that magic combo.

**Q: Can I get motion detection alerts on cell without cloud or sd storage?**
A: Technically yes - as long as the camera is connected to a WiFi network, with Internet connectivity, and associated with a Kasa account, with notifications enabled in the Kasa app, you should still receive detection alerts when detection occurs. Please note that no recording will take place if you do not have a MicroSD card inserted, or a Kasa Care cloud storage plan.

**Q: The new version uses sd cards. instructions up to 128gb, here says 64gb. has anyone tried a 256gb card? most "limits" r incorrect & can do more gbs...**
A: I don't understand all of what your asking with the acronyms but I put a 256 micro SD card in my camera and it runs great. I bought 3 Hasa pan and tilt cameras, 2 of this and one one 1080p camera. They are all using a 256 micro sd card.

**Q: Does this have MAC address displayed on product?**
A: Yes, on the base of the unit. You can also find it in the Kasa app once the camera is set up.

Great product. Great quality. I love that the video just videos over the as. Super easy to use and pan where needed. The alerts are great the night vision works perfectly clear. The app controls lag a little but does not affect the video quality or the rating of the product.
