Is there a difference between the two?** A: Not 100% sure but: we have been using Maldon for about 5 years (we love it) and have always purchased flakes. Not sure if there is any other form of Maldon. The 2 pack we recently purchased is flakes as usual. The price is about 35 % less expensive than purchasing at a William Sanoma store. **Q: Never received my order** A: Check your email, sometimes they cancel the order when the product is not available through your email. **Q: can you use salt grinder with this salt** A: Hi Fiona, It's better not to use Maldon salt in a grinder, that's really for other purposes, for a salt grinder the best salt for that is to buy Sea Salt specifically for Salt Mills, Sur La Table has that, probably Amazon carries something similar and no doubt many other cookstores. Maldon Salt isn't really designed for salt grinders, and the salt grinder will clog up if you use Maldon Salt. Maldon Salt is a fabulous Salt, as a finishing Salt ( using a little bit, or in certain foods, but it doesn't replace Kosher Salt, or special sea salt for salt mills, or Black Hawaiian Sea Salt, Pink Salt etc., but I love Maldon Salt, although I use very little salt, that's my # 1 favorite.
