Material hasn't torn, spokes unbroken, I like the wrist loop (with appears to be detachable via a screw). I haven't tested it in any real bad storm yet, but on some gusty days, it's done well. I was fooling around with in one day (after "dancing in the rain") and accidentally hit the open button. i had the strap velcro only loosely secured and it opened with some force against the strap, and then i shut it again quickly (i was boarding bus). I must say that the replacement umbrella has been much better; I haven't experienced any flipping and it has held up in the wind.
