Too much gas pressure and it wouldn’t go, you’d have to depressurize the adapter and start again. This goes straight into the sodastream machine and you go directly from the larger cylinder. I’ve got a 5lb hooked into it. Had a small gas leak at first because I didn’t use a wrench to tighten down the connection at the cylinder. Once I used the wrench, no leaks!Best investment you can make for your soda stream! Get a food grade cylinder at any beer making supply shop and save hundreds not using the stupid $15 exchange system. You have a slight upfront cost with this hose and a cylinder but after that, refilling/exchanging 5lb cylinders is cheap! I figured it cost me about $1 per sodastream cylinder refill when I was using the refill adapter. This is going to reduce cost even further.Glad I went with this and dumped the refilling nonsense. I will update my review as time goes on and if anything goes sour.UPDATE 2/8/21:The adapter was actually sucking water into the hose line after the soda stream injected c02 into the water. I corrected this with Teflon tape on the adapter that screws directly onto the sodastream. What happened was since it wasn’t sealed up fully, it created that suction effect that would cause the white injector tube to suck water back up inside. Still happy with the adapter but did have that issue that I fixed. ### ⭐ Hose leaks badly *by P***S on Reviewed in the United States on September 18, 2021* The media could not be loaded.  Not sure what's under the stainless steel, but it leaks. A lot. All the other parts seem fine. ### ⭐⭐ Works, but beware CO2 leakage *by D***E on Reviewed in the United States on December 29, 2020* This works well for connecting a 20lb CO2 tank to the Sodastream, but beware! The higher pressures from a big tank kinda overload the Sodastream, and all your CO2 will slowly leak out. At least, that's what I *think* happened. I used this connector, and the tank - which was full of 20lbs of CO2 - was empty in a few days.This, despite using titanium thread tape on the connectors, and replacing the gaskets on the hose. So.After you fill up the Sodastream bottles FOR GOD'S SAKE SHUT OFF THE GAS FROM YOUR BIG TANK!!!!
