They are bulky and kinda heavy but have worn very well and you kind of expect bulky and heavy if you are looking for ankle, toe, and shin protection. Saved my ankles several times already. Love the color too. Review: Good boots for price - For these being on the cheaper end of boots I’m happy so far. A lot of people complained they are too stiff and you cannot shift….. First, the boots need to be broken in. Second, the shifter should be even with the foot peg. Third, there is a technique to shifting with riding boots. It’s not the boot’s fault. Even the $500< boots are going to be stiff and require a little different shifting technique than what you may be used to with tennis shoes. The stick broke and flew up and hit my boot hard then made a scratch down the fender of my quad.
