I was worried my bun wouldn't eat 1st cutting timothy hay as it's a little more straw like than the grassier 2nd cutting (we tried oat hay and alfalfa hay briefly in the past, bun wasn't a fan) but our bun started having some digestive cecotrope issues and we had to remove all sweets and treats. I read that 1st cut Timothy hay is better for buns with digestive issues and decided we should try a box hoping bun would grow to like it as she's very food motivated. To my surprise bun loves the new hay even more than the old 2nd cut tim hay or orchard grass she usually gets.
