Review: Don't count on the sheath lasting very long. - It's all you could reasonably ask for in a good machete. Solid build, sturdy, decent handle. It does need to be sharpened regularly, but there's nothing new about that. The sheath. . . . not so much. I recommend buying an appropriate leather sheath separately. The nylon one that it comes with doesn't fit quite right and doesn't last long.
Review: Good for the money but....... - I bought it for chopping up small branches in the compost pile which it did work for but the handle is a little too thin and smooth for a good grip. Regretfully I later saw a Fiskars machete that looked like it would work better for a cheaper price. This one will do though.

Broke mine in an hour and I was only cutting down soft stalked mexican sunflower plants. Broke in half at the handle, steel made weak !!!!! Cheep !!!!!
