Easily takes my 23kg eMTB securely. Review: Amber 1 Bike Rack, Great Value - Good value bike carrier for one bike up to 30kg, the rack comes in parts but is fairly easy to assemble with basic tools. The clamping mechanism is very secure and solid when it is clamped to the towball when adjusted properly and a padlock is supplied which prevents the rack from being removed from the vehicle. The wheels of my bike overhang the wheel supports quite a bit but once strapped on it is very secure. I had to buy an adaptor for the electrical connection to convert my 7 pin socket to fit the 13pin plug fitted to the rack, this means the reversing light on the rack does not work. The fog light and reverse light on the rack are on the opposite sides to standard UK and would require some wiring alteration and swapping the light units over to correct but I'm leaving mine as is as I don't think it will be a problem. The clamp that is supplied to hold the bike frame to the rack is a bit short for my use as my vehicle is a van and causes the bike handle bars to touch the van tailgate, this would probably not happen with a car .
