During the class he used this tiny smoker in one of his recipes, which turned out to be astoundingly delicious. I knew I wanted to get one but they were out at the store. I looked on Amazon and sure enough I found one.It is so easy to use and surprisingly effective. It only takes about 8 to 10 minutes to smoke a steak, fish, chicken, lamb, pork or whatever you want. The smoky flavor is actually deeper than the smoke we obtain from our big Traeger smoker during the summer where something might smoke as much is 14 hours. THAT is remarkable.I am so glad I purchased this. It's easy to use. In the winter months it gives us a taste of summer with no muss and fuss.I use different woods depending on what I need to smoke. It works beautifully. I was hesitant to buy because we live in a smallish apartment and I was worried about stench. There's a little smoke release, but it's minor, and the vent under my microwave handles it nicely - no wild smoke alarm going off and everyone leaping around in a panic!The unit is very sturdy and well made, and was heavier gauge steel than I was expecting. It has a bright mirror finish that is immediately browned everywhere except the top of the lip once you've used this once, but that's ok. :-)I made smoked chicken wings on the maiden run and they turned out perfectly in 35 minutes. NOTE! I tend to add more of everything than package directions call for. In this one instance, I held myself back and added a TBSP of the (included) wood chips rather than heaping in triple that amount - and boy oh boy am I glad I did! The single TBSP (from the recipe in the instruction book) was the PERFECT amount. More would have been way too much.We have one of those annoying glass topped stoves with the flat burners, and for some reason I was worried this unit wouldn't work on it. I should not have worried. The unit is just about the exact size of the largest burner, and works perfectly on the stove.My next smoker meal was ribs - the next day - and I fit 2 pounds of baby backs in this little beauty with no problem.In short: I LOVE THIS WONDERFUL MACHINE!!!!!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great item, fun to use *by on Reviewed in the United States April 21, 2024* I gave my husband this for his birthday ($29 size pan) because he often buys smoked salmon. Tried it the other day and it worked great. Came with small tub of wood chips, and it was easy to use. It did leak some smoke as others noted but, he used it outside on the grill. He was very pleased with the results because he could control the cooking time, and the smoky finish. He loved the results. I will say this may be small for most people, but I didn't want anything big because I was unsure of his usage. But now, I may need to buy a larger one.
